Looking at rents of comparable housing 15% extra would cover the cost of living 10% is probably not quite enough. If you look at the top teams most have a blend of players brought in and their own youth which they have developed. London need to change the culture at the club and bring in the right coaches, develop and retain their youth before they will be competitive. I hope you have signed Long as an assistant not as head coach otherwise you don't have a chance.

Most people tend to move to London as their chosen profession usually pays more. Why else would people want to live here?

London can't afford to pay more, it's that simple, we need to develope talent from within, we've had an increasing number come through the ranks, though without investment, it's hard to see how that can continue. Though at the advent of SL, London and the SE had 3 clubs, we now have over 30 plus 300+ schools teams (including 60 girls teams) plus 8 Universities putting out teams, this was from a virtually ZERO starting point, so it's not all gloom and doom, these seedlings need time to grow!

Brentford, as much as I like the place, is hardly the top-end of the West London property market!

If you think the cost of living is 15% different in London than to say some of the towns with SL or Championship sides you need your bumps felt.

A semi in Chiswick is £1.2 million or over £2 k a month to rent. Chiswick is respectable but not quite Notting Hill. Is that 15% more than the M62 corridor?

as a professional sportsman fitness to some extent is personal issue, if the coach has to concentrate on fitness levels then things are in a bad state, but IMO that's the players own fault.
Lots of stories were coming out through different sources for the last couple of years, things like factions within the squad little cliques! aussies refusing to train etc etc etc
players fault? some of it, coaches fault? some of it, but all last year I had overall feeling that there was something much deeper effecting the whole club, and no am not saying it was Gus or strewth might as well blame woodsy at rfl as well

wire quin! sports clubs employ fitness coaches, strength coaches, sport nutritionals to support and improve fitness, but I stand by what I say basic fitness starts at a personal level, and as a pro sportsman fitness is one of your basic qualifications to do your job.

We had fitness coaches but look at the effort of the team last year. Also what sarginson has said about the regime at wigan. It seems to me we have a culture of failure and mediocre results.

To be fair WQ, there is a smaller element of personal responsibility re S&C at clubs. Plans are drawn up by S&Cs, sprint coaches, etc etc. However as an example, NRL clubs are training 5 days a week at the mo, until Friday. Then they'll come back in early Jan. The S&C can draw up individual plans for players or more general ones. But it would be down to the player to make sure he does what he's asked. They'd have to go to private gyms etc. As well as aking sure they do the running and exercises. That is not in the club's control. Equally some players would be up for and do extras at training, some of which are offered by the clubs. Again down to the individual.

I will be really interested to see how Sarginson turns out. I hear he is working very hard to improve at Wigan. The Broncos training regime last year was a joke; losers like Kaufusi certainly showed that. Even those who made an effort, like Cook, were carrying a lot of lard around. Someone please explain where the improvements are going to come from for the 2014 season!

Would you not have expected some form of communication from LB management now that the ground has been secured? Even a holding statement would have been sufficient to set out some sort of time scale relating to announcing season ticket information, CEO, coach ..................... Any management worth their salt should have had this prepared and ready to send out once the deal had been struck to "save the club".
