Sykes is particularly versatile, as well as Stand Off he can also play Full Back if needed. He is also a handy goal kicker. Coupled with his recent good form, his selection is probably justified.

Dont see why Sykes has any impact on us, why do we care if he's on the train-on squad?

Maybe cos he was one of our for a long time, and one of the first Northerners to come down and make a real go of it. I know he's not one of ours now but I thought we liked to keep tabs on our old boys.

Moron. I have never ever said Clubb and LMS are not good enough. Most of my ire has been directed at the two Australians Robinson and Williamson for being fifth rate for what they are no doubt paid.

He's a forward, injury free seasons don't come easy.

Tend to agree - though Clubb would benefit from being given a stable position. LMS had a poor spell mid-year but finished in international form I thought.

So, how many times have you seen Robinson & Williamson play? IMO they were key figures in our encouraging start to the season and are no more culpable than anyone else for the subsequent slump.

He probably hasn't!! don't think they have sky in the lunatic asylum and his carer is a netball fan. slagging off Quins at the drop of a hat is the only pleasure he gets at the moment!!!!

I think Robinson has been really good for us and fans should remember he was brought in as a 100% player who would bolster our defense. Williamson is a quality player with more ballplaying skill but has perhaps let himself down giving silly penalties away.
However, if BM has spent a high chunk of the salary cap on them (and we dont really know) then I would question his coice of positions to waste his quota players and the extra dosh needed to attract players in key positions that we need.

I agree and although I'm sure he has carried some knocks this year he has actually been "ever-present", earning the Ironman award at the end of season "do".

I like to think I have a sense of perspective. I give credit when it's due and criticise when I'm not happy whilst trying my best to remain positive in the hope of improvement. I'd much rather retain that outlook than moan relentlessly about anything and everything. If all our supporters had your outlook the club would have long since folded.

Never said the current team were world beaters, but as a fan of the game and my local club, I will always continue to offer support. As for being a cheerleader, I am certainly not one of those. I am a fan of the game and the club and would never walk away from either just because the club appear to be doing something wrong. Yes, I will point out where they are making mistakes IMO, but I would never stop following them. That's what being a fan is all about as opposed to being a bitter and twisted person who can't admit that the Union tie in was a requirement that has given us stability.
