How does a team lose its skills over the course of the season ? Was that the cause of some of them not looking like they wanted to be on the pitch ? Lets face it the team became an embarrasment. I suggest that does call for a rethink.

Because they changed there tactics from a team that was throwing the ball around to a team that made 5 drives and a kick dead, starting with Hull at home, I think.

We lost the ability to attack. I cant remember the last planned move we put on in the oppositions 20 that resulted in a try. We were awful at the end.

Maybe Mac told the team they didn't need to throw the baby out with the bath water and they thought he said don't throw the ball about come hell or high water

Suggestion to Big Mac: Employ a proof-reader or even a ghost writer. Jon Wells would do a good job.

I think the deep meaning is obvious. He's lost the plot.

I thought we missed on the playoff by 4 pts. About the number of points we scored in the 2nd half of the season. So on that form if we played another dozen games we might have just crept in. Some margin

An odd thing seemed to happen with penalties. We conceded very few in the first half of the year and then got caned the second half. What changed?

In the first half of the year we were going forward and attacking teams. In the second half we did a lot of defending because teams were on top of us. So what I hear you say.

Lots of penalties are given for high tackles, markers not square, defence not back ten, lying on..... all in the act of defending.

Playing Saints in the second half of the season at home wont have helped the cause.

Next season, it would be better for Malcolm or someone else at the club to interview Mac every week and then publish the season review in one go.
As for the content, it really tells us very little we don't already know.
