Sheffield lost at home to Haven!

Well we won, so have seen them win all 3 games so far, but tbh it was our worst home performance of the season

Wes found his kicking boots again
Defence was much better than vs fax (although I don't think Dewsbury as dangerous as fax going forward)

Letting the ball bounce on kickoffs rather than catching it, how many times did that almost cost us today

But at least we are winning when not playing well, we would have lost this last year. The problem is we keep giving the opposition help (stupid knock on's, not completing sets etc), and if we do get into the eights that will cost us.

But we played poorly and still ground the win, and 2 points each game is the key more than anything else

It was the amount of dropped ball in the first half that frustrated us the most but very happy with the 2nd half so can't complain. Did Hendo put Bromide in their half-time drinks? We will need a decent performance in both halves against Rovers in the Cup Tie to progress to the 5th round I reckon. Very relieved today not to see the team panic & throwing away the match as witnessed in recent years. Overall a 5/10 performance by the boys.

Like the way team don't panic when they go behind now. They back their defence. They definitely play better against the so called better teams. I feel they took Dewsbury lightly in the first half.

Points once more, started to get worried when they started to put the points on the board in the second half.

Missed the game, so obviously can't comment, but from what is on here sounds very much like the same pattern to last week's game. To be honest we are doing what a lot of teams did to us last year, we would have a reasonable first half then the half time chat the opposition coach having spotted our weaknesses adapt there play and blow us off the park. Hendo seems to have got that sorted for us this year, let's hope it continues.
Completion rate is a worry, yesterday was not a challenging day weather wise in fact probably perfect for this time of year we should be hitting 80 or 90%
5/10 if a realistic assessment actually bodes well as it shows we have a lot of improvement in the team.

Didn't quite find out the problem. But he did say he thought only a couple of weeks.

Thought that the announcer was better this week, whilst no Chris Warren it was a major improvement.

I know it splits people on the day we play but thought the atmosphere and buzz around the place was much better as it was a Saturday, anyone know the crowd ? Seemed more than the first couple of games.

On the crowd at least where I was sat in the upper tier (amongst Season Ticket holders), quite a few missing (as at football games which clashed), also less folks in the away seats from the fax game, so I would imagine it was less than the fax game.

Personally I prefer sunday games, but then I'm not a wendyball follower, so I get to the games either on Sat or Sun. Drive there was much worse on a Sat then sun though, took me twice as long owing to traffic from A312 to A40. Need to try ruslip road maybe next time

Certainly I thought there were less on Saturday than the previous week. Plenty of gaps up where we sit.
For me Sunday is best, the travelling is easier. I will always make it on Saturdays though.

Completely the opposite where we sit , jam packed Saturday but pretty sp for the first two games.

I know some were at that other game down the road on a corporate, A few work Saturdays, others just AWOL.
The LBSA sold all the try time tickets, which was good. Won by a Dewsbury fan I think.

What did Wes do?

Wes twisted the Rams players foot when finishing the tackle although it's hard to see in the replay. A yellow seemed a bit harsh although the linesman was right there on the spot.

3-5 games.Not sure why he isn't playing though,as he won't be sanctioned until next week.

In theory the board should have sat and viewed his case yesterday and issued any sanction as such. So if he got a suspension then the game tomorrow should count. Possibly Hendo named his team assuming he would get a suspension so the squad prep was built around him not being available.

Championship "review" is a week late. SL incidents get reviewed straight away but us Championship peasants don't get seen until the following week so Wes would have been fine to play this weekend.

That is how it has worked for the past few seasons anyway, I am not aware that it has changed although Leigh haven't had anybody charged yet which is a pleasant change for us!
