Yep, hopefully a sign of things to come next season. The thing about today is barring 1 or 2 I expect all these players to be here next season. Get the experience back and maybe we can dare to hope for a decent season

Good win. After all the failures against Dewsbury this year, the team must have shown some mental strength this time around. Hopefully they will retain that for next year.

Well done to all the players & staff for finally defeating Dewsbury.
If we were going to get a win against Dewsbury after our disappointing season, then today has gone a long way to giving us long suffering fans a crumb of consolation to enjoy.
Looking forward to going to Widnes ground next week & having a good day out.
I think we have a real chance of beating Fev & achieving something from a disappointing season.

For what its worth we played very well, some areas that werent up to scratch but heh, decent tries, decent defence, happy days.

what was 'snide" about my post congratulating the players and wishing them and the fans that make the trip to widnes good luck? Was it "snide' of me to suggest that the club might look to arrange transport? I suspect 'cheap" train tickets aren't an option, but a coach would be reasonably priced?

Oh dear some have become over sensitive. Think Plum was referring to others comments, perhaps Rob's for example.

Oh and I agree with Rob. I'm very pleased with the result but would have preferred not to have been here in the first place. We are so hopefully we can now push on next week.

I'm always precious on Monday mornings.....although the win did cheer me up! I suggest Plum used the "quote" facility to ensure his righteous indignation is correctly targeted and received in future.

I went, and pleased I did. I agree it's a meaningless cup, but better to win than lose! Probably the best performance of season. At 16-6 I feared the worst but 28-2 response was great, from a very young team.

Defensively they were exceptional, some real do and die stuff on the line. In attack equally good except for a few stupid passes going astray, some excellent tries. Keyes and barthau kicked well.

Referee was poor and missed too many high tackles, BUT he did call a forward pass on a disallowed try which would have got Dewsbury back to 6 points and then penalised Pryce for complaining. Crucial

Superb game, the players gave all they can, and Hendo makes a difference, good to be in a Final, not going to be an easy match, but the Players need to give it everything and it is possible.

To be honest Barnaby your views and thoughts on match day performance are of no consequence, lets leave it at that.

As for the others, most of them with their snide useless contributions dont go to home games let alone away games, have said they wont go to games going forward and seem to begrudge the few of us that still do a bit of enjoyment. Yes, a tin pot shield, but you know what, its good to be in the final, winning mindset and all that. Roll on Sunday.

I am not sure I agree. I thought JC was dynamic, led from the front, 2 or 3 'scoots' with decent pace, decent distribution, no mug in defence, caught out a couple of times with the ball and played the majority of the 80. Hendo was Hendo, speed no, but steadiness personified.

I think you've missed the point plumb. I'm not suggesting Cunningham is not fitter or even not as good, I'm making the point that we seem to play better with hendo in the middle as the directing mind! rather than a dynamic hooker scooting away.
