£5 in the ground (350 spaces)
£2 Canons Park tube
Plenty of street parking but try to stay off Camrose ave as it causes jams.

| Quote ="wire quin"GF-What does the crowd matter? The financial model has changed. AK benefits from attendance not LB.
Hughsey knows his liabilities as they are fixed.
Why do you keep ranting on about something that is Barnets issue'"
The attendances at the London Broncos directly influence the clubs future. AK has gone on record a number of times saying he will not invest in the London Broncos, so if we are to have any chance of survival in 2015 and beyond, we will need to attract a benefactor/investor to replace Hughes.
The agreement for the [uHive is for 1 year[/u with the exact terms for the option of a second year still to be ironed out. AK has banked about 50k in ticketing revenue so far and has done little in the way of any Marketing. If we average 1,500 across the season, he'll have picked up 400k on the gate......after he takes his overheads out of that, it won't leave an awful lot to "plough into the club".
Attendances are not Barnet's issue...they are a massive piece of the jigsaw that is building London Broncos...AK has no interest in Rugby League other than flogging beer and chilli 13 more times a year. Your acceptance of this "new dawn" is frightening really.....no doubt you will follow the club next year in the championship and the following years as the downward spiral continues, but to do so "quietly" makes you as culpable as Hughes and MacKay in the demise of the club we both support.
Also, how many times have we heard that professional sportsmen and women respond to playing to a crowd? We have enough trouble attracting northerners south as it is, but the added "bonus" of playing to an audience of hundreds will make it even less appealing. This year we have a number of reserve grade 'stralians and a bunch of kids.....Moore is the exception to the rule and only because he's "trouble" in the eyes of other clubs.
New fans to the game are hardly going to come back because of the atmosphere created by 1,000 fans in a 80% empty arena....

| This is a clear 4 pointer and could really make or break either team's season even at this early stage.
Looking at your early score against Warrington and the score against Bradford I get the impression that your team is building quickly. Certainly far from the easy push overs the media would have us believe pre-season.
I anticipate a tense, nail biting affair.
I appreciate your comments on the crowd front and hope there is a decent crowd for this one. The game's winner is far from certain going into this one.

| No offers for Barnet fans on this one. Looks like the attendances of the first 2 games have seriously cooled any interest TK or the Hive have in the Broncos and they have decided that trying to entice people to come to the next 3 games would be a waste of money.
I suspect they will try again when the bigger clubs arrive.

Actually - I like the Hive (and its a pain for me to get to so don't think its because north London suits me), and think the atmosphere has been good and the crowd always "feels" bigger than the stats! but pity about closing the terraces, detracts from the atmosphere

Are you saying that after only 2 games Barnet FC are throwing in the towel, the next few games are when there should have been some effort to attract fans and get them hooked. Not only that, we could spring a surprise and gets some points on the board.

What is so special about the next three games that will see people flocking to see London Broncos?

I think what daftdad means is as these are games in the past that we have been in with a shout of winning. but also they don't come with a large following of fans. So there before i think he means that these game would have been good ones to offer some deals on and boost the crowd.
Like daftdad said if we can grab a win or two in these games, it might then encourage them to come back for other game when some of the so called bigger clubs are in town.
well that's what I think he means...

| So the fact that you may win one of the next 3 should bring those who didnt come to the last 2 games flocking in. Forgive me for being negative but I just don't see it.
I think it's clear that the Hive don't see any benefit in marketing these 3 games and have decided to save money for a larger away audience as the number of home fans is pitifull. Nothing I have seen so far suggests a huge latent support waiting to come, if anything it's the reverse and people are looking for reasons not to come.
I'm sure they could offer thousands of free tickets and get a couple of hundred extra through the door which will result in a few tens coming again. It's a sad state of affairs and I'm not condoning what the Hive have decided to do, just trying to understand the why.

| What is wrong with giving out free tickets? Sounds like a good plan to me, if not free why not £1 and bring your mum, dad other adult? No point spending buckets of cash on games which will attract a decent crowd and possibly see LB lose at the same time.
Teams up North give out cheap tickets when LB visit, including Wigan, Hull etc. Ask yourself why they do this, it is to get the few tens as you say returning.

I understand the logic I think it just sends out the wrong message and upsets fans even more than they already are.

| I can see the sense in not marketing the next 3 games.
The opposition is not attractive and we haven't won a game yet. I expect around 1000 for Wakefield and 600-800 for Cas and Cats. Market these hard and you may get a few hundred more to each.
Alternatively, wait and see if we win a game or two and when we get a Hull, Wigan, Saints, Leeds, etc. to the Hive, market hard on the basis of glamorous opposition and a competitive Broncos team. Precisely the same marketing spend could turn a 1500 gate into 2500.

No offense, but as an ex-estate agent, I can honestly say that shows a complete lack of undestanding as to how marketing actually works, you've fallen in to the trap of thinking each house sale is a one off (or in this case Rugby Game or "SL Round"icon_wink.gif You MARKET the BRAND!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why d'ye think Estate Agents want their Boards plastered everywhere, long after the house was sold, on properties that often aren't even for sale....... So the brand gets lodged in peoples heads, sometimes they don't even realise it's lodged in there!
MARKETING is 24/7/365 and one quarter!!!!!!!

Not if you have a limited budget. If you want to convert casuals/occasionals/neverbeens into attendees, and you can contact them just once, do you try and persuade them to come along on a Thursday night vs. Cas or a Saturday afternoon vs. Wigan?
Of course, in the meantime you do everything you can to build the brand, raise awareness, etc. but I am talking about where to target your extra push.

| The Hive can't even get permission for a sign outside their entrance, never mind on other peoples doorsteps.
They applied for permission in March last year and the council are still dragging their heals with no date set for it to go to the planning committee.

| When I worked as an Estate Agent, and I know they still do the same, they rarely ask permission, they just shove the board up, lmao.
Posters, Flyers often stay up for weeks and I don't remember my bosses having anywhere near the resources that Hughes/MacKay have.
Advertising is for a single event/product, MARKETING has to be for the Brand as a whole, over a sustained, prefferably never-ending period of time.
It shouldn't be that difficult as Sky and the RFL do a lot of this for themselves and I fail to see how we can't cheekily add ourselves on.
Take the internet, how many sites are there that just request you to "add your link here", can't one of them spend say 30 mins a day doing just that to all London relevent sites??????
My problem is that they seem to do.........NOTHING at all. So lets target the Wigan game to do NOTHING shall we?? They could have the players after training handing out flyers outside the local tube stations etc. But no, they'll do NOTHING!

| OK. Advertising is not the same thing as marketing but it is a part of it and it comes out of the marketing budget. I am talking about selling a particular game hard so as to achieve maximum conversions on the basis that the club will gain higher revenues from in ground sales, will have contact info for these customers and that these customers will love the product and want to return.
However, I don't doubt that much more could be done to promote the club positively (again just another part of marketing) and here I absolutely agree with CP. There is an abundance of things that someone with energy and willing could be doing at almost no cost to raise awareness of the club. I accept that the folk at the Hive have been hamstrung by the lateness of receiving the 2013 customer database but I'm not sure they've done enough with it.
