I really do know what I'm talking about on this. To ensure I get to a 7:45 kick off I have to be on the road before 5pm to avoid the worst of the traffic . On a Saturday I have to leave by 1pm for 3pm kick off.

That the club have taken to asking for advice on facebook as to how to market themselves and have received an idea about leafleting the locals as the work of Sir Martin Sorrell



before asking for volunteers to help out (what's happening to the RFL provided budget?) The absolute spanking delivered by Leeds? The worryingly familiar turnstile look of our defence out wide in both friendlies to date? The 75 combine attendance at 2 forums at the new venue? The continued lack of on-line purchase ability of tickets to the first home game of the season (10 days away)?

Gf the start of this thread was not having a go at you it was a simple request from a potential new fan that you give the negativity a break for at least one thread. That's a bad example to use to a Barnet fan, our post code is EN5 which is Enfield, a team that we have a rivalry with going back 100 years. The post codes don't even correspond to the local authority areas, they are based on where the sorting office is.

Why don't you use google to see how close Harrow is to Edgware? If you did you would realise how wrong you are, I wasn't spliting hairs, the london borough of Harrow and the London borough of Barnet are large areas and the Hive is only 400 yards over the border from the london borough of barnet but actually 6 miles from Barnet itself. It is also a 15 minute drive from Harrow, going through Kingsbury and Kenton to get there.




Do you know what, 2 weeks ago I was handing out leaflets for Barnet and next weekend I will be again. I have no problem with helping the Hive promote my team. Supporters getting involved in promoting their club, now that's a novel idea. I can guarantee the Hive got far more out of their contact with fans than some leaflets, maybe if the previous marketing team had taken time to talk to fans to work out the best way of promoting the team they may have made better use of the money.

This is an internet forum and as such, you will get differing points of views....the OP wasn't asking me to do anything. They felt that strongly they wanted to maximise their desire to express their displeasure at my style of posting and my stance on the club that they started a thread. That's not "asking me to do something"....that's starting on me!

Also, their request for me to lay off is based on them being "put off"???? If the musings of an internet forum poster are sufficient to "put someone off" then I suggest the precious should grow a set or off to watch something else.

I'd suggest that there are fans on here, present company included, who have done a damn site more than hand out leaflets in support of this club. The fact that the club deemed this help unnecessary would point towards the lack of a stampede to offer assistance now!

We know the man from the long white cloud is repetitive and tiresome BUT some of us believe he has perfectly valid points mostly backed up with facts.

The more you respond the more he will come back at you and the more repetitive and tiresome he will become in your eyes. The proof of the pudding will be what happens for 70 minutes each weekend. Personally I am not hopeful but then I get slagged of for being negative.

Have to say that all this enthusiasm on Facebook for helping the club and doing leaflet drops every where causes me a wry smile. The will to do that has always been there, it is simply that certain people (or should that be a certain person) chose to ignore it and it seems to have taken another move and possibly a new face or helper to reignite it.

Fair call PP. And people are not blind to people's frustrations, include yours about the actions and performances on and off the field. This has made some fans and IMHO bitter towards the club. To the point where some can only say negative things, because it's got that far for them!!! Others on here see it almost phoenix like and have hope that with all the crap that's happened we have a team to follow backing it with positivity in a very, very tough year ahead. No-one is under any misapprehension that we will lose games with a squad scrambled together at the last minute when we found out we were in.

This club has always had the backing of fans willing to give up their time and help out. Only for it to be rebuked. That was harsh and ultimately at the stoop, could have been to a degree, costly. Those fans will also be peeved that their help is being asked for now as a cure when their help could potentially have been used for prevention.

In the context of a friendly request, it would be asking me to do something....in the context of a brand new thread designed to attract flies like does, it was an attack. You've been around enough internet forums to know the difference....

It is a nice distraction from the humdrum of people thinking this brave new world will deliver the stability and security the club needs, but it is nothing more than that. Call it what you like. It makes no odds to me. My issue is that by entering incorrect points of reference into google your timings were out by 25% in addition to the points I have already made.

Were did I belittle the work that supporters have done before, I'm sure lots of Bronco fans have put plenty of effort in and it's great that they have. I see no relation to what has happened between fans and the Broncos previously and the communication currently happening between Bronco fans and the Hive.
