| Most of them are football season ticket holders. One has already been to the Castleford match and enjoyed whole rugby league experience. I'm hoping some of the others will want to watch summer sport when the football ends. Already got good interest for the Orient game. widnes wigan and leeds in june/july should be easy to sell to them being the more well known names. Just going to keep putting an email around work and see what happens. If they enjoy the Broncos I will get them to come to the Skolars.

Town Planner, Corporation of London. I am a leyther who hasn't watched rugby league since 1984 when i moved to London. My era was the John Woods/Des Drummond Divsion One winning team. I have been an Arsenal season ticket holder since 1984 who has become completely disillusioned with football as it has lost all links with real people. It is too expensive and the players are light years away from the fans.
Started going to Skolars last season as they play round the corner from where I live. Fell back in love with the game of RL and enjoyed the community aspect of the Skolars and the fact that the players want to play RL and are putting there bodies on the line every week whilst having to work fulltime. When I saw the offer in the Evening Standard for free tickets for the Harlequins v St Helens game at the end of last season I applied and got two. Great day out, even though we lost. Now completely hooked to both Broncos and Skolars. Missed the game Wakefield game as was up north seeing my family, gutted that I had to watch us win on Sky. Will continue to buy season tickets for both clubs and want to get as many people to the games as I can. Best game in the world, pity I didn't realise it for so long........
Don't know about offering the club any advice, but I will turn up to watch the team
regardless of results. Love the west stand and members bar. Cheers

If only we could find another 5k like you.......believe me, they are out there and they just need to be found. Shame there aren't "Northern theme pubs".....something like the "Pigeon and Whippet" selling flat ale and betty's hotpot.....
Great story willow, one the club could maybe find a way to use in promotional activity. Would be good to hear a story like this on BBC radio's London RL show.... or even on the SL show/Boots'n'all..........or in League express......(hint hint hint).
Back on thread.
3 quid booking fee seems to be the number 1 complaint.
If the club were to write to all ST holders with vouchers that can be exchanged at the ticket office for a tenner ticket, no booking fee, for the last 7 games at the stoop, would it work?

Cheers. I will talk to anyone. MO, pony tail, glasses, goatee, say hello if you see me.
Rather have a Belgium beer bar than 'Northern Themed' anything.
Back on thread.
No point season ticket holders buying a couple of tickets on line when you have to pay £3 extra. Buying 10, it doesn't really matter much as I will pay the fee rather than charge people £15.30.

You're lucky......I left for pastures new (NZ) in 2009. Perversly though, I have more comms with the club now than I ever did when I lived in TW8!

I have just emailed the club:
Quote Hi,
Firstly, congratulations on a fantastic defensive display……I don’t know what RP said to the team, but only 2 missed tackles all game points to a new understanding that defence wins games. Long may it continue.
Have to say that watching the game with Maori Commentary is one of the most surreal things I have done in over 10 years following the team.
I asked the question on the boards and by email to my “away crew” list as to what was putting off ST holders from bringing mates. Apart from general mate fatigue and a losing team, the 3 quid booking fee has cropped up a number of times. A number of ST holders have declared that they have simply rolled up and paid cash for their mates as to avoid the hassle of getting hold of the Ticket Office (always has been and always will be a nightmare at TW2…for both codes) and aren’t bothered about minimal rewards on a loyalty basis.
To counter this, it might be worth pricing up a postal mailing to the XXXX or so, with 6 numbered vouchers that can be exchanged for tenner ticket(s) at the remaining games at the Stoop after the OTR games. Included could be a basic explanation of the rewards on offer.
1 Fan = 1 Pint voucher.
2 Fans = tenner voucher for the shop
3 Fans = etc etc etc..
20 Fans = a replica shirt for 2013.
The ST holder who brings the most fans (over 25 limit) will receive a framed signed shirt, 3 Premium ST’s for the 2013 season and a box for 20 at the 2013 season opening home game…..
Any fans that bring over 30 will be entered into an all expenses trip to a regular season away game of their choice (not France) including train, admission, Hotel and 100 notes spending money, for the 2013 season….
The above “rewards” are just thinking out loud and aren’t priced, but with a bit of maths, I am sure you can come up with relevant and cost effective incentives. Immediate reward will always work better than Loyalty Schemes IMO. As I say, just a thought, but what you said on Friday has stuck with me and I can’t understand the low return on the ST offer….
Cheers and good luck against our most bitter rivals this Thursday.'"
I have no idea if this would work, but it wouldn't cost a fortune to do and might be worth a punt. If they aren't sure, maybe they could call 20 ST holders and ask what they think of the "potential" offer?

I know that...................What I am suggesting has nothing to do with the bank.
If a ST holder gets say 5 mates to come along, he simply completes the voucher with their names and email addresses and hands it in with the cash at the ticket office.....
From what has been said on here, the 3 quid is a cost that isn't worth incurring and the rewards to vague....I am saying a hard copy voucher with rewards in black and white might encourage a better uptake on the offfers?
Less than 16% in total over 3 home games is the Return from the ST offer as it is now.........that's 5% per game....terrible....in fact, worse than terrible.
Existing customers are traditionally 67% more likely to buy from you than new customers and they will spend on average 35% more as well...........the existing customers of the club, in this case, ST holders, have not responded to the offer.
RL fans are a fickle lot.......look at the Double header last year......I have read every excuse in the book for "not bothering" to go to Wembley....it is the RL Way.
Fans of our club are fully aware of where we are and where we need to be.........they also ( I believe) need to help out in any way they can....just paying to watch the game is not enough any more if these FANS want the club to survive past 2014.
If the XXXX ST holders all brought just 5 friends each to one game or spread out over 6 games, then that would go some way to adding 10% to our total......if they brought 2 to each game, that would be nearer 25%.....
I have no doubt that if the club sent out the mailing suggested, there would be some who would find fault with it....but as I have said, if WE, THE FANS want a club to support, it's time to do our bit (AGAIN).......IMO that is.

......accept the losing team is a problem, which is why the match day experience is important.
Previous CEO's at the club have gone on record saying that "big" games against the bigger teams are the ones to target.........the fact that we have won against 2 lower teams at home and lost to 1 bigger team and another that improves with every season points to that being a flawed stance.
No disrespect to the following teams......but IMO, they are the Home games that should be targeted!
Castleford, Wakefield, Salford, Widnes, Bradford & HKA........3 of these are still to come at the Stoop and if you want to get newbies back, being spanked by Wire, Wigan or Leeds isn't the way IMO....I would have played the OTR games against Wigan and Leeds myself as their crowds are boosted by London based fans who don't bother attending any other games.
Widnes on June 9th is a game I would be marketing to ST holders as a "special event" with a target of 5 guests each to the game for every ST holder with a raffle drawn at half time for a PRIZE (do Virgin air still do spot prizes?).....2 return flights to Australia and SoO tickets for 2013 should do the trick!!!!!
I believe that if the club went to the trouble of calling 100 ST holders a week between now and June 9th and personally asking them to bring 5 mates to the game with the chance of a trip to SoO, you'd get 50% involved and therefore, possibly the only 5k+ gate of the year......maybe even the first 6k gate since 2008.......
Bundle it up with an offer for Widnes fans (cheap tickets on production of their Widnes ST, Hotel deals, a fancy dress theme.......etc...) and you might even get more.
If, as the club have stated, ST holders are the route to new fans they want to use, maybe, just maybe, asking ST holders what they would like to see in an incentivised offer, might be the way to go?
I feel a ST holder online-fans-forum coming on
