If it was significantly more money from Betfair then it's ridiculous they turned it down. Gambling companies are advertised all over premier league grounds and on sky tv. I can't see the problem.

The problem is it is said we voted Against Betfair being Sponsor of Super League! I sent the contact at the agency off to the club, if I was Betfair I would love to get a club in Super League, but then perhaps they are not currently rating the Game that high?

I didn't know we voted against it. When you download betfairs mobile app the home page has I think 8 shortcuts to specific sports then one to the rest of sports. Rugby League is not featured in the 8 which I would assume are the most popular, but Rugby Union is on there. I didn't know there was a lot of gambling done on RU but must be there for a reason.

Also I would hope we would welcome anyone willing to put money into the club.

I know not about Stobarts sponsorship, but interesting that it has just been announced earlier today that the RFL have bought Odsal Stadium and will rent it back to Bradford Bulls, a joke considering all the stick we get from Northern supporters how the RFL prop us up!

The RFL should have done this earlier in London, to have had base and a training centre!

The RFL did not seem to be keen on Betfair, or should that be Chairman Richard Lewis! partly because of his connection with Sport England. Would it not be good for RFL and Sport England to back a Centre of Excellence in London based at a ground, use a pitch like Widnes Vikings, if it works and the pitch could be in use 7 days a week for the community, Come on Richard show what you do for RFL and can do!

As Richard Lewis was at the LTA how about converting centre court at Wimbledon!

I am surprised that Betfair were interested in sponsoring RL to be honest. The volume of money in their RL markets is pitiful even for televised games. Maybe they saw an opportunity to grow that but it would never have much volume.

Once the trucks hit the motorways I can see thousands of non rugby league fans saying this is the game for us! will we be able to cope.

Perhaps some drivers may ask to themselves who are those people on the side of the wagon and what is super league! or why has that player on the left only got a black top on?

Drove to Birmingham and back today and never saw one Stobart truck on the motorway, I wonder how many Stobarts trucks drive around London?

At least the sponsorship of Super League is positive, Richard Lewis and Nigel Woods will be set up for jobs as lorry drivers with Stobart when the rugby league careers come to an end.

Keith Senior reckons Eddie Stobart got the sponsorship for £0 ! That's a shame as I would have gladly outbid them. Curious if true, great advertising but really sponsorship of the third biggest spectator game for free! The mind boggles, I hope they paid the same amount for Odsal!

Someone else worked out 3% of the fleet, but lets not get worked up over 2% points! I am sure the deal well compares with Aviva sponsorship of the union Premiership £20 million over 4 years, Sky get as much promotion on the trucks! looking at the Leeds Rhinos truck what does it say about the club except for the player?

As I stated on the VT. if the clubs livery wagons also have that clubs contact details then that would be very good. In our case I can see why Mr Hughes went for it.

I would have expected to see at least a mention to the name of Rugby League and the name and venue of the club on the truck?

I would also expect to see contact details. WEB,Telephone etc. I am sounding more like Gutters.
