You've never heard of Rodney because he is a no-frills back rower... Great squad player at NRL level, however you don't want him to be your key second rower. Wont make 100m+ a game, but will there still taking his runs, cleaning up and not a bad defender. The man not on big money, but one you must have at your club to fill the numbers and does so admirably.

Kaufusi should be a good signing provided he stays fit.

I'd like to see Cook come down (unlikely to get homesick seeing as he grew up in Bedford), but not too keen on Colbon tbh.

People talk about Clubb moving into the second row, but I think he'd make a cracking prop forward. Bigger than most props already and he's also got a fair turn of speed, once he gets his legs moving. Also, less for him to read when defending than there is out wide. Stick him in the middle and let him 'see it, hit it'.

Sarginson at left centre and probably Howell (can't see him leaving with two years left on his deal) on the right.

Honestly, I think I'd rather have Rob Worrincy than Liam Colbon.

I would rather have neither but Colbon every time ....Worrincy is a liability.

When you watch championships games on Sky on Thurs night and Halifax games on (i.e like last night), you hear them rave about Worrincy with lines like"you dont want to kick the ball to him", "give him space and he run the length of the line" and saying like that. But have that ever watched him defend, im not saying hes bad but jesus even me in my wheelchair could get pass him hes that easy to get pass. Hes always looking for that cut out pass so he comes in from his line all the time and so leaves it wide out.

As for Colbon i don't much about him TBH, only thing i can say if it is him we go for then at least he has SL experience. But i would prefer we try Caro as hes home grown. I'm sure if he didn't work out in the first few games the club would be able to get someone else in, unless of course we have spend the full salary cap by then.

Were you doing the Poznan for every Manly game of the 2009 and 2010 season, he was a real stand-out player which says something for a workrate back-rower. I was suprised at how good he was in that time, so unless your barometer for any real impact is failing to achieve rep honours I can't agree with your viewpoint on his time after Penrith.

2 good signings,both had a few injury problems in past,Rodney has been a good performer for Manly,physical player who im looking forward to playing for London next season.Squad already has a much stronger,experienced look about it,and if Gower can slip back into playing league anywhere near his previous levels,could be a decent season next year.

Hughes confirmed after the game that Liam Colbon, Matt Cook and Rinaldi have all signed but cannot be announced yet, and that were still trying to get a big Australian. Not sure if that's big as in a prop, or big as in Lockyer type big.

Why ? He is the clubs past, not the future. Terrible signing, we should have kept Ellis, if that was an option.

Perhaps they wanted to bring back 'He's got the longest name in rugby league' that used to do for LMS, how's about we go and get Frank-Paul Nuuasala or Jared Warea-Hargreaves on a 1 year mega money deal and just ruin the opposition the same way Bradford used to do in the mid 90s.
