No. They've already chosen two live SL games for that weekend as well as the England v France game, and Hull KR away won't be on Sky the following week either:
www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12944,00.html
I can't see any logic whatsoever for moving it to Sunday. I can't believe any players are going to play on two consecutive days and it would just mess up a lot of people who've already made plans to attend at the original time.

That would suit my lot because they will be in London from the Friday until the Monday, but I dont see what the difference is the "England" players will not play in the game even if it is on the Sunday instead surely? ![Confused icon_confused.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_confused.gif)

| I find this rather bizarre that we all knew that the game was a 5pm kick-off from before the season started, yet no-one told Leeds Rhinos? I know that the office at Quins RL has a history of ineptness, but surely even they couldn't stoop so low?!

| The Whinos should think themselves very lucky that they haven't got our fixture list.
We've a gap of 3 weeks between our home games against Bradford and Hull and we are the only team not to have a single fixture in August (5 weeks gap between Hull and Warrington!).
The RFL and Sky supposedly want us to do well and increase our attendances, yet neither appear to do anything to help us.
Seems like the bad old days of Griffin Park again. ![Confused icon_confused.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_confused.gif)

Are these the same fans that I am constantly told have no control over things at the club? I suspect the bumper crowd expected for the 30yr celebration event won't trouble the seat allocators too much.
Average gate for the visit of Leeds since we returned to TW2 is 4,272...skolars get 300 odd, so let's hope the wider community show up for the day. I see the Storm are playing on the Sunday...is it the same with the other clubs? If so, let's hope they all roll up on the day.

The fixtures were released on 18 November last year, with this match listed as a 3pm kick off. Checking the news archive on our club's website I found the announcement of the double header with revised kick off time was made on 15 December:
www.league.quins.co.uk/news/10919.php
I'm not sure what the procedure is when such changes are made, i.e. who has to inform whom (do Quins tell Leeds directly, or is that down to the RFL/SL) or whether the away club has any right of veto, but surely the RFL must have been told about the whole event as presumably they would have to sanction the change of venue for the Skolars v York game? Therefore it looks like they stuffed up if it was listed as 3pm on their website until recently. The England v France fixture definitely wasn't arranged until after the double header was announced.

Point taken. Frankly I've no idea who gets told in advance, or how long in advance, about such matters before they're publicly announced.

As far as I understand with the operational rules, regardless of press releases, internet announcements etc. London have to inform both the RFL and Leeds of the change in writing.
From what has been posted on the Leeds boards from as far as Leeds are concerned, they didn't 'officially' know (and thus change their websites / inform their fans etc.) until the match tickets arrived for sale a couple of weeks ago, hence the kerfuffle about it.
After all, do you pop on to the Leeds website in the middle of winter / off-season to check any potential fixture changes for a game six months later ?

No, but I would certainly be aware of the possibility of such fixtures being "Sky-jacked", and Sky only announced their televised fixtures for this round within the last month or so. I've already made arrangements to visit Huddersfield and Castleford in the full knowledge that kick off times and match dates are subject to alteration.

| I would like to add my own two penn'orth to the convo about the kickoff time change if i may.My perspective being as a visiting RHINOS fan.
There are a number of sources fans use to find match info.Match programmes, own club website,RFL website, league express(for me) when the whole fixture list is announced.away club website.
When initially announced we also hear the first approx 12 weeks(?) of fixtures which SKY will cover. That announcement also coveys the info that SKY then have a rolling approx 1 month's advance warning of match selection for balance of season.
Thus in this case it would be reasonable to expect that prior to MAY that the first FOUR sources all have a certain schedule published that is accurate info and that i can react using that.Being aware that for example SKY could select it and i need to keep aware of that option.
HOWEVER and i have in my email intray direct correspondence from LEEDS RHINOS which clearly states that until MAY 11th they were NOT aware that the kickoff time had changed. This only came to light when the tickets arrived for sale to fans.
The letter bluntly states that by rule a change of schedule by a home club has to be directed via the RFL and sanctioned to the visiting club.NO SUCH request was received.THUS the cockup is between QUINSRL office/RFL.
In my case being a cynic who expects cockups i always use the away club website and was aware very early on of the day's timetable, based upon a DEC2009 press release.
Consequently i was staggered to be told by people the primary sources of info werent updated.
I doubt anyone will publicly hold their hand up to a cockup. But as i conveyed to many--if any club would be expected to get it right after what happened with your fixture change away to Catalans then QUINS is a club i would have expected to do it right.
Will it stop me coming down for the umpteenth time.....NOPE...does it affect my opinion of Quins(presumabley responsible) organisation....as you guys are also critical of much,i think you can guess my answer.
Its always a must do fixture.

| You are a clown then who obviously can't bare to slate your beloved Rhinos. They sent you an e-mail on May 11 saying they weren't aware of a kick off change? I find it utterly staggering that you fail to realise that the only balls up here is by Leeds and a vast number of their supporters. I know people coming down from Leeds who knew about this weeks ago - my family are Leeds suppporters living in Kent and they also somehow managed to stumble across this information, yet you are saying that probably the most professional organization in the land didn't realise? Embarrassing. Go and meet up with Admiral Hanson and cry into your beer.
