I know if I was playing and the coach picked me to start i'd be able to take a proper grip on the game and play with confidence. I wouldn't be too impressed that a centre/winger who hasn't played in my position since 2004 was starting in front of me.

Skee knocked on and gave away a penalty in the time he was on the pitch. This isn't disputable. Are you suggesting that if he had started, he would have played better?
I dont want people to think I am having a go at Skee at all, because i'm not. But the fact is, the team would have made more mistakes with him starting and having more game time. This would have resulted in more try's against, which would have dented his confidence.

I don't quite get what you are talking about, are you seriously saying that having Gafa at SO for the whole game was better than if we started with Skee there?
Skee knocked on once, and gave a penalty away.
Gafa continually missed tackles, twice they ran through him and scored.
I would of prefered a knock on, and a penalty given away then to have Gafa missing as many tackles as he seemed to do.
The only time he was noticeable in the whole game was when the Catalans players continueally ran all over him.
Very poor game by him, and i'd be extremely disappointed to ever see him play there again, tbh.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing of course. Given the choice before the game as to start Gafa or Skee at SO, I would have chosen Gafa.

And I would have given Skee or Gigot their opportunity to play in a position they are familiar with - even if they have limited SL experience, and i think if you check my postings I said so before the game

I thought Will had a better game, and considering the stomach bug that "The Wigster" harped on about pre-match. Matt Gafa continues to disappoint, but playing in that position hardly helped him. The first half was a heroic effort, with some incredible defence - the tackle statistics - us making over 110 more tackles than them was incredible. Given the weather and the amount of tackles we were making, we needed to score the penalty before half-time, and then make a strong start. As soon as Catalans scored first in the 2nd half, it was always going to be too much for us. Overall, we did emerge with some credit. However, we have to get a win from somewhere - although one this coming Saturday looks increasingly unlikely.

To be honest GF it is indeed a complete waste of time posting on here as people are oblivious to reality. But luckily I have plenty of time to waste. I told you why I thought he would have had a bad game. Because, he didn't have the best of games having come on as sub! He made 2 of the teams 10 or so errors, despite only being on the field for 20 minutes. So if he had been on the field for 60 minutes, logic says he would have racked up a large majority of the teams errors.
Your thinking that he would have had a better game if he started is however not based on logic. It's based on nothing but your view of what [imight[/i have happened.

Alot of your posts on here is that if Skee had been playing from the start, he would of knocked on loads, gave loads of penalties away.
Does that classify as 'foresight' as you keep going on and on about this word saying we're using it. Yet, you are as well?
Maybe if Skee had started the game he would of had that confidence to not knock the ball on, not give a penalty away(which imo wasn't a penalty anyway).
