Well if that is your opinion! it is welcome as you with any others are in a minority, the weekly rugby press letters pages are pure mockery, we have been having this anti expansion campaign for so long and mainly from those with pure parochial concerns? what I find difficult to understand there were never crocodile tears for Widnes and their Chairman and Board accepted the decision last time around and got on with the job to ensure they were ready this time! IF anyone interested in major sponsorship or national media look at the debate in those letter pages they would run away from our game as fast as possible and could you blame them

It is stupid that we are going to have to put up with this petty squabbles until July?

We are currently a game going backwards and Union are grasping every chance they can to show they have their act together, if ever London, Wales and France go from Super League would you blame Sky pulling or reducing there financial backing, then young players who want to play serious Professional Rugby would have one choice Union! and not the M62 corridor semi pro game that will be left.

Regards Listy more and more I am not sure what he is saying any longer as, Listy you seem to go up and down? we virtually all agree everything is not right with the club, I was one who fought a few years back to have the freedom to be constructive when our board it was a Sin to voice any opinion against the club, but I will Never do anything to harm Our London Club, I look forward with a Positive attitude to get things right, not everything is right with these M62 clubs who top the league! so don't be fooled that is is just us that can't always get it right!

I got 2 freebies for the Etihad stand, I got them to convince a couple of mates to come along at short notice, however I already got 3 friends to BUY tickets to the Catalans game, and now 2 more want to come along that day so it's a group outing on good Friday. Long story short I can't get anyone to come so I have 2 spares. I will take them with me to see if I can give them away at work or at a pub in Twickenham to get some newbies along who are out on a friday night. whatever happens I won't profit from them and I will try not to give them someone who is willing to pay.

Most other super league teams have free ticket giveaways, normally for our game too. Very often the fans then tout them to us for about a tenner ( this happened at Bradford, However I paid £20 on the gate at Wakefield to help their championship squad building for next year) saints did this too at knowsley rd and so do hull, I believe these freebies Significantly increase their crowds, and once they are in they spend money in the bar and on food/programmes/merchandise.

Shame people won't be hanging around long this week like they will next week

Well if 4,128 on a Friday night with 5,000 free tickets is classed as a success, then it was, or there again perhaps it wasn't?. Hopefully, a few of the locals who picked up some free tickets will be tempted to come back again.

It was a cracking game and a damn good advert for the "newbies" that attended. If Luke Gales kicking had been 100% we'd have nicked it by 2 points

The appearance of a Chart topping group in the bar as well was a bonus for some !

We'd have nicked it by four points. (Well, six in fact, as they wouldn't have bothered kicking that equalising penalty.) That's nit-picking though, both Gale's misses were marginal from difficult positions. The bloke kicking for Cas was brilliant; I didn't notice who it was, and I deliberately haven't looked up his name, but it was particularly noticeable as they've had a lack of decent kickers in the recent past. (Remember that game where they pasted us 66-12 with loads of our men out suspended, Dorn scored a hat-trick, and I think they kicked something like 5 from 14.)

Cas kicker was Kirk Dixon

He won them the match. "End of". (I hate that phrase, but for once it applies correctly.)

What a great atmosphere it was last night, and an exciting game for any newbies to enjoy. I think it was a success, yes 5000 were available and probably about 1000 of them were used, but it made a much healthier crowd at the game, plus most of the boxes were being used by people which is always a good thing.
I have a new theory about us only playing well on Friday night games! Hope we can convert that to Friday afternoons for next week!

The more I have gone to friday games the more I can see the benefits. Bar busiest I have seen since Manly game. Two newbies said atmosphere great and the floodlights make the game better.
