That puts us above Whitehaven, although we are only there on points difference and have played one more game.
The thing is Haven have I believe Featherstone and Leigh as their next games, so our 11th place is pretty secure for now.
Havens next possible win is against Workington at Summer Bash, so we need to beat Sheffield there. Done it before, so we can do it again!

Great result. We seem to have always been on top in the game. We played them at the right time perhaps but they are a proper side so well done to Mike and the Team.
It looks like we are now staying up. My take is the club either through desperation or mis- judgement overvrelied on Skolars, I hope we don’t do that again but in recent games we have been more circumspect about which ex Skolars we select, and this has worked in our favour.

I felt (and what do I know) that neither Macani or Grant offered much in the first half of the season but I think they have both stepped up and are now a positive influence. Well done. On player retention, I may be wrong but I think we thought Leyland and Horsmann were the new golden children. I’m not sure that was true but Leyland is clearly developing. I would however suggest spending a little time ensuring both Davis and Williams get what they want. Whilst less high profile I think they deliver week in and week out. We spaff money up the wall all the time I suggest we give them A couple of extra grand and whilst we are at it there are a few ex Broncos out there not getting much game time that we should try and build bridges with. Now is the time to stop faffing around and make some positive moves for next season. I think RL is a good game and whilst Football sucks the oxygen out of the sport8ng calendar in London but I think a decent R side could get crowds in the thousands if handled right. A bottom quarter of second tier that loses more than It wins less so. I’m off to get hammered. Cherio!

Victor I think I’m right in saying you and I were some of the few on this forum who attended the Haven game at Plough Lane earlier in the season. I thought they were both much better than us and dreadful. I take no solace from the fact that we’ll end up above them but I’ll take it. An upward trajectory is better than what we were served up back then.

Glad to have been right about the outcome (if not the margin). It would seem that we have dug ourselves out of the crap we were in, purely by accident, as the Owner didn't have a replacement in mind when he fired his selected coach, but yet again, we seem to have found ourselves with a more than capable coach at the helm.
I would suggest that Hughes and Loubser make it a priority to secure this guy's services now rather than wait until it is too late to sign players for next year.
Our current form would see us around 7th spot, with us being capable of challenging all those sides currently 7th-14th and whilst the nucleus of the squad will be with us next year, we do need 4 or 5 "star" bodies to get us into a top quarter spot in 2023.

We were the better team tonight and deserved that victory. Broncos played a much more open game whilst Bradford were happy to keep making one man drives. Credit to Davis, Leyland, Siti and Parata for making Bradford chase shadows. The Bulls 2 tries came from consecutive penalties and their 2nd looked to have come from a forward pass but hey ho.

It never really felt like we were gonna lose this, Eccles is doing a marvellous job and the boys looked much fitter and keener than our opponents. 3 wins from our last 5 (and 2 from the last 3 away) is a million miles away from the gloom at the start of the season with no wins from our first 10 games (inc the Cup). Get Eccles signed up now !

If this article is to be believed, it doesn't sound like Hughes has told him no matter what, he has a fitness role to fall back on if he wants it. That could be the next shambolic Broncos decision, to lose Mike.

You’ll recall DC that others once amongst the management team were unsure if he was a rat a snake or a xxxx. It’s possible that view is one that has traction in the upper echelon of our club in which case your self harming suggestion becomes almost a certainty such is the perversity of our decision making.

The Hull Shop boy seems to have torched some bridges on the way out the door. The grandiose manner of his departure stinks of a firing and him taking every cent available to him by law.....6 weeks notice and we mad him work it!
His inability to step away from social media when drunk points to an end to his career in sports marketing and instead a career offering free numbering on pub football kits in the north east. I'm sure his mate at Hull Trains is having a great time explaining the expected ROI from the Broncos Shirt deal

Perhaps APX could find a position for Gus. It seems he talks a good job, so would fit right in. We certainly do not want him back.

Just watched the Bradford highlights on YouTube. Strikes me that "the game caller" does a commentary for bulls TV and whilst one eyed (Flanagan JR scored an average try from a forward pass and is lauded, but flapped, patted and stumbled whilst avoiding a tackle for our last) it stuck me that surely there's a position for us to get someone to do the same for our games?
Maybe get monkey back as our coms guy and pay him in special brew
