Think excluding Roqica is a mistake, not so much this week, but for away games

I fully agree he is the bulk this team needs and produces effort from the minute he steps on the field. I wonder if the spirit is going to be broken amongst the senior team members if they continually get dropped. I believe in rotation but not picking senior members week on week seems wrong it would be different if they were injured.

If we continue winning without them how can anyone make a case for them returning?

Who's to say we wouldn't have won the games with team rotation. Who knows if we would have won with senior members. We dont and the final question could we have won with a bigger points difference. We dont know. The young bloods have done a remarkable job but if I was a senior player and been dropped four games on the trot I would not be happy. Not all of them played poorly. Some did

Cheers mate. Don't know what the protocol is for concussion, as long as Cunningham was not knocked out he might be ok for next week depending how he reacts today and tomorrow to tests.

In so far as we struggled with the kick off receipt, this was mainly due to the ball coming out of the sun. The players sorted out and it ceased to be a problem.
Obviously in the second half we played with the sun on our backs. Not really a problem for Oldham.
As far as injuries are concerned we have an extra week to get over them and I understand a couple of those who have been out injured, may well be available for Blackpool.

74-12 was the final score. Both their tries and conversions had an element of good fortune about them.

Hopefully Bienek's injury is not a bad one.

hopefully both Beneik and Cunningham will be OK as both went off, at least we have two weeks to recover.

I would definitely have Roqica back in squad for Bradford, and hopefully Battye back for Blackpool. If we beat Bradford, fev and then win the two home games followed by win in france top 2 may be possible!

Interesting how Hendo changed the right side of the team after the shocking defensive performance against Swinton. Looked a lot tighter this week. Channing played well for his first game in a while.

I think Kear has better positional sense and is stronger under the high ball, but Walker iexcellent, so either good forme

I am really pleased for Alex Walker. There was a time when I wondered if he would ever get his chance to prove himself. I could see him being let go despite his potential. However this season the chance has come his way and he has really taken it. Okay at Halifax he had a nightmare, but he has put that behind him and as you say it will be difficult to drop him.

Worth remembering that the chance has only come because Kear has been asked by the coach to fill in at both centre positions and on the wing because Hendo rates his experience and ability to do so...when everyone is fit Kear will definitly start at FB especially for the playoffs agianst SL teams

It is worth remembering that Alex is only 21 years old, having made his debut in 2014 he is gaining experience with this run in the squad. Elliot Kear it is true to say would be first choice, however Alex by his performance should be keeping Elliot on his toes and should he leave we have a ready made replacement.

Agree with you there bosty, walker is doing a pretty decent job but first choice fb has to be kear for me. I think experience counts for a heck of a lot and walker can get caught out now and again, it showed with one particular try by Swinton, he gave the winger a couple of mtrs too much to play with and never got across to make the tackle to stop the try, it's just a positioning thing that I suspect Lear would have done better
