Having watched plenty of the Women's ICC World Cup earlier this year and already having tickets for the WRU world cup later this year, I believe this is a real area of opportunity and growth for clubs that truly embrace women's teams.
There's still a wildcard spot available for the 9's finals....it would be fantastic if a team from the south were invited.

Promising start to the season for the women.

Womens team play 2pm today at Rosslyn Park vs Army RL to open their Super League South campaign. It could be our best chance of a win this weekend.

The women show how it is done beating Army 20-10.

Started last year in the same fashion IIRC. If I were back home, I'd definitely make the effort and I can't say that about the main side.

Massive win for the women 100+-0. Lost count. Very well organised and minimal errors.

Will they be asked to step up to the main table next year if they continue in this form?

A really good afternoon watching a very committed performance from this talented Ladies team. Good to see a few of the Broncos regulars voicing their support which was well deserved, the Broncos finishing with 104-0 win. It's early days for this team but expect to see them playing top opposition in seasons to come. Other plus points - free entry and a good bar!

Broncos women extend the winning run beating Golden Ferns 24-54.

I see that the Ladies have one final game, away to Cardiff at the end of the month. They are currently unbeaten and sitting atop the table (although finding said table was a mission) having scored 220 points in 4 games and conceding just 58.

Cardiff won the final last year after defeating us in the semi-final, so I expect this to be a cracking game, although I am unsure of the format in this years competition as it seems to be running differently from 2021?
If the Ladies win in Wales, I would assume they will be in the box seat to host the Grand Final....will they take it back to Trailfinders where the final sold out the corporate hospitality or play at Rosslyn Park?
It would be great if the Official Supporters Group and the club tried to rally a coach-load of fans to Cardiff to support them.

Fantastic result. Seems like it was a very close match so well done the ladies.

I understand from sources that Gutterfax has emailed the club on a number of occasions this year regarding the website and lack of matchday experience. It would seem, given the responses he received that the club are willing to take ANY help they can get, even from the whinger in chief himself.

Any update on the Broncos Women play off games?

RFL Match Centre is showing us playing Bedford Tigers at 17.30pm on Sun 14th August. Nothing on the Borncos site but this suggests a possible double header with the Workington game.

If this is a double header, then the club need to fill the stand, if not the stadium.
As far as I can tell, this is 1st v 4th, with 2nd playing 3rd the day before (Cardiff v Army) and could be a cracking game. WOMEN'S sport is on a bit of a high at the moment (can't put my finger on why) and this would be a HUGE opportunity to fill at least one side of the stadium with NEW fans.......I'd open the gates for free from 5pm and place an advert in the local free sheet, get on the local radio stations and shout it from the roof tops......offer a tenner on the door for the mens game, free kids with an adult and 4fuxache get someone in the Buck and Dusty outfits....book a band.....get a couple of food trucks in (no charge to them) and give it a whirl......and whilst I appreciate the huge distances many fans travel to get to home games, if we have 600 there for the Mens game, then let's hope at least 400 stay for the ladies.

IF the ladies win, then they SHOULD get home advantage....meaning we will play Cardiff or the Army the following week either after or before the Batley game.....I know we can't guarantee results, but if there were a better chance to get a new audience to potentially see 4 very good close games with a real chance of 4 victories, then I'd like to know it.

Lastly. SPONSORSHIP. If the new guy can't flog the double header on the 14th to someone, then he needs shooting now..........and the Final (should we host it) should be our biggest gate of the year!

I've tried to find the table but in the end gave up and built my own on the results shown on the RFL site. It would seem that Bedford v Oxford didn't happen and I can only assume that Bedford were awarded a win placing them on 4 points and therefore 4th spot ahead of Bristol or the game just didn't count at all....but Bedford get 4th on +/-...

I cannot stress what a huge opportunity this is for the Club......to make the Final would be a huge achievement and a step forward for the girls.....I genuinely hope that the club see this opportunity, but with 11 days to go, the Twitter and FB pages along with the club site are bereft of anything....I despair. Even if they have no staff, Loubser surely can be d to try and salvage something from this disastrous move.....surely....??

Double header confirmed for 14-Aug. The Summertime Pass for remaining games of the season is now priced at £25 so not a bad option.

Absolutely, the progress over the last 2 seasons has been great to watch. They have already beaten Bedford away this season so while the semi should be a tough test it is also a very winnable game for them.

Here's a thought.....Is there any need for Dusty to be a boy horse?

I really hope that Hughes has enough down the back of the sofa to pay for a little local marketing for this....and I hope we would see the Wimbledon Ladies there to support us....,.they are at home (Carshalton) at 2pm.....would be great if they could get to the Cherry Red, even for the 2nd half and post match.
I'd re-issue the free invite to all dons ST holders for this game too.....they have Doncaster at home the day before....get someone there handing out leaflets....half time.....on pitch interview/promotion....buck & dusty even......

At least make it free entry for anyone who has been to the Wimbledon women's game which I think is their final pre season match.

Broncos Ladies are probably the only people who DH feels have not let him down this season in his fantasy world (after all, his decisions are always correct, so empty stands is the fault of the fans, no match day experience is the fault of Wimbledon, bottom 4 team is the fault of the manager and players etc), so it would be nice for him to show some good will to the only positive of this season, but again I expect they will do nothing more than just have the double-header

Hope they have checked to see they have enough changing facilities. Personally I think on this season's form they should headline the ladies & make the men the support act.
