Hoping for a better performance than the pre season game we played up there. We were truly awful that day, but the conditions were dreadful and the pitch was just a bog. In truth they out played us.
Now we are in our stride we need to win this game. We struggled against them all last season, only winning the last game to put us into the final of the Tea Cup.
Their performances have been a bit indifferent so far, but they too aspire to make the top four, so we do need to beat them.

They were the bogey team last year, hopefully we can shed that tag. Think the game on Sunday was a pretty good test and fax are certainly a decent outfit. Worrying signs for us, obviously we need the 2 pointers, the line breaks in the middle of the park really do need plugging, I suppose it's a change normally it's our wing. On the plus side, we didn't give up on the chase, no panic in the ranks when we were behind with 10 go. Taking the one point showed a bit of maturity. I agree with you we need to be beating teams like dewsbury especially at home.

Are Dewsbury as strong as last season? Its fair to say they were very good and possibly over performed without being derogotory

Game we need to win as we are at home. The more points we pick up now while our squad is (mostly) fit is important in case we get a injury run. I'm thinking we need 15-16 wins at least to get into top 4 so home v Dewsbury we should be targeting as another win.

Ideally after Easter we will be no worse than won 6 lost 2, which will set us up nicely for the stretch through summer.

So far we have won 4 lost 1, next three games in League are Dew (H), Bradford Broncos (A), Fev (H).. So I would love to think we might win 3 from that, but I will take won 2 lost 1....

Will be happy 2 from 3 in the next games, looking at results so far it's looking like a competitive league with the exception of 2 teams maybe so no games are easy. I would like to hope we would take the home games against those 3, Bradford away will be a big test though and a genuine indication of top 4 aspirations.

Need to win this one, not least because it'll probably be the first game I'll be able to get to this season!

Glenn Morrison is being touted as the next manager of Wakefield. So he may distracted, which can only help our cause.

I was happy with the result against Halifax but the performance could have been better as a team but a few individuals have stepped up this year, Kear was impressive and so was Barthau ( apart from the kick out on the full!) but I still want a more clinical showing this week

We need to take advantage of the pitch tomorrow, as Widnes did last night against Hull. Quick play of the ball is what is required. If we try to slog it out with them,we will lose. Our defence needs to be good and our kicking game needs to be spot on, by now we should understand the variable bounce of the 3G pitch
and use it to our benefit.
This is a very winnable game.

A good win, first half we made too many mistakes. The second half was much better and we came through to beat what are a bit of a bogey team for us.

It would be nice if Bradford beat Batley tomorrow or even if they were to draw. When you think how well we did against Leigh and we only lost it at the end , we could have had a perfect start. I am happy to be where we are though.
