| Well? I suspect we all know which option will win, but interested in seeing the support beyond both options. This is what you WANT to happen, not what you think will happen.
Stay for me...

| Go....he has 6 wins in 30 under his belt......regardless of the squad HE assembled being injured, he has shown he has no concept of acceptiing it when we get tonked...always trying to take positives from games whan in fact, he should be blunt......we have underperformed since last summer and the buck stops with him.
To replace him? Not sure, but I wouldn't be adverse to a young Aussie coach being given a chance........

| Taxi for BM. Overall we have been in a gradual downward spiral during his time with Quins......he may have plenty of grit and self belief but I think he lacks the flair and tactical ability of his peers. He is no longer enjoying his time at Quins. We have a 20% win rate, we may well finish bottom of the table and he has consistantly proved he does not have any answers. Thanks for your efforts but it is time to go.

McDermott is passionate and knowledgeable about the plight of Rugby League in London. Lets not forget, we have scored some fantastic victories under his coaching - but this season has not been good, owing to inconsistencies in player availablity, which IMO has led to a massive lack of confidence in the team. Certain players have not stepped up, and we are missing players in CRITICAL positions.

I accept that we have had some good wins, but this tends to be the case with most teams in the bottom half of the table most seasons, Salford have done so this year......but a good run of consistant performances remains as elusive as ever. BM may well understand the difficulties of RL in London and to his credit be passionate in wanting to develop the game down south, but then again so did Tony Rae and who is to say that the next coach will be any different. Yes we have been hit by injuries but this is little different to any other side in the bottom half of the table with a thin squad. Regarding players who have not stepped up.......they are his players that he has selected to take this club forward, if he is unable to get the best out of them then that is testament to his poor choice of player or lack of coaching ability. Outside of Walters, I cannot think of another coach over the last couple of seasons who has stated publicly and so frequently that `he has no answers` to the teams lack of performance.

| I, like many have voted for Mac to go. But I think he has done a 'decent' job under the circumstances.
But the last couple of years it's been gradually getting worse and worse and some of the performances and results this season have been simply shocking.
Time for a change!!!

I'm writing this having just seen "Boots 'n' All - The Tries" where in an interview they claim Brian Mac would be a great coach at "a club with better quality players". Hmmm

So they think BMcD gets the best out of the players he has got here. They may be limited but not as much as his coaching ability.

| Tactics - we're not good enough to win by building pressure and earning opportunities so fling it about a lot
Man management - youre dropped, youre in, youre dropped, youre in
Recruitment - you're a rejected northern second rower/prop you're in, youve played a few NRL games you're in
Bye bye go away now had enough

| Ex Lance Corporal in the Marines, what man management has even ever had the chance to practice.
He just isnt intelligent enough to implement a decent game plan to out fox the opposition and isnt reactive enough when it needs changing.
The hooker he brought in from Leeds challenged him and is now at Fev!!

| Melling, Clubb, LMS & Purdo where all England/GB internationals either before or just after he took over......sadly, the only player that would get into a 30 man squad for international honours at the moment is a young on-loan full back from Leeds. I have no doubt that Mac is a great bloke and someone you would want at your side in a foxhole.......just not a dug-out By all means, let him stay as a director of football or something....he really does speak with passion regarding the development of the game down here, but we need a coach for NOW......not 3 or 4 years time.
Still waiting for a valid argument from the stay camp. TR got less support from some on here and he had a much higher win ratio, took us to play-off games and found some real gems in Australia that stood up when needed.

I have presented my argument, I was one of the only people on here that supported TR too while everyone else knee-jerked.
I do not have a problem with McDermott's tactics - I have a problem with players who cannot implement attacking moves properly when close to the opponents line. I also have a problem with our absolutely woeful completion rates, something that has been killing us all season - this has been down to individual errors, and not a problem caused by the coaching. We move well up the field, defend relatively well believe it or not (apart from Clubb), but I believe we have been very unlucky in the timing of certain players absences.

| I'm disappointed with a number of people here. I thought RL fans had more appreciation for the real reasons teams are losing, rather than following the example set by football supporters, whereby the coach is accountable for absolutely everything wrong with the team.

| I dont buy into your theory Listy(accepting the coach doesnt ask the players to drop the ball etc) He sets the tone for the way we play. His game plan flits from a dull grind it out style to playing with gay abandon-What we need is something in the middle and he just doesnt seem to be able to implement that.
He has brought in his players, its his team, his game plan, his coaching team, his training plan etc. Listy you will find out in business the higher you get up the ladder the closer you are to the door-accountability

so...Clubb, LMS, Purdo and Curtis are to blame.....not Mac. They were international class, but have all taken backward steps....it's their fault. Clubb was played from pillar to post, Purdham is a loose forward not a SO or centre, Melling a full back...simple as (he was capped by GB there) and LMS was exciting to watch, but now apparently doesn't make the yards as much....all of these things are down to bad coaching, playing the wrong players in the wrong positions and having no idea how to make running repairs during a game.
Example....as is well publicised on these boards...CLUBB runs out of the line, creates gaps for the opposition and sure enough, his side leaks tries. Does Mac tell him not to? Don't know, but I know he will do it again on Friday.......so either the coach isn't listened to or doesn't coach properly...either way, he has to go.
He lost the dressing room last summer......it all went tits up then and he should have gone at the end of last year....sorry listy, I understand your point of view, but this is macs team, playing his way and they are pants. I believe that 11 of the current squad were involved when we tonked wire last year............have they all become crap or are they being mis-coached?

Clubb: I don't think he's found his true position (if he has one at all at SL level) yet. He's played centre this season because there's nobody else, assuming that May wouldn't be an improvement.
LMS: Inconsistent this season. Don't know why but it's not necessarily the coach's fault.
Purdo: Has frequently played centre when needed and makes a bl**dy good job of it too. Big injury problems this season.
Melling: Was signed specifically as a utility. (He'd won Wigan's Academy player of the season the previous year, playing mainly at hooker!) He's a hard-working player, never was an international class FB.

| Here's my radical (or not so, depending on yer point of view) approach.
1. say au revior Mr McDermott. Thanks for what you've done but the game is up.
2. say au revior Mr Blanchard, Thanks for what you've done in the circumstances you have had to work within.
3. Appoint Jon Wells as Chief Executive (providing he wants the job) with;
A) an immediate brief to recruit an "up and coming" (god I hate that cliche!) coach, who is looking to make his reputation as a No1 at a Superleague Club. (I know Jason Taylor has been mooted by some in the past.)
B) Review players contracts within the cap system and "prune" and "add to" as neccesary.
B) In the longer term allow JW the finances and infrastructure to implement "Project Phoenix" an ongoing process for fan base growth and putting Quins on a more self reliant platform than currently. Gutterfax you've got the plan, you want the Marketing Managers job?
4. Retain Quins "style" kit but have current 2nd kit (blue, red and yellow qtrs) as home kit and have the Fulham 30 year anniversary kit as away kit (If any "branding" agreement with landlords allow). This would allow the RL team to have a distinct image seperate from our landlords, whilst not deminishing the "quins brand".
5. Encourage fans to form a "supporters trust" on the understanding that when thery are up and running they can have a 10% share in the Quins rl company on establishment and appoint a trust member to the board via a fair and democratic election that is monitored and verified by an organisation such as The electorial reform society after they have been in existance for 1 year. As part of this process the club and supporters to have ongoing dialouge to improve the lot of "Quins RL". Supporters aren't part of the problem (well alack of us is) they are an integral part of the solution.
Now where those bloody winning numbers for Friday's Euromillions rollover again and how much for your shares Mr Lennagen???
PS: for the record I haven't been "engaged" in intoxicating liquor or "herbal" remedies. Like Jake and Elwood "I'm on a mission from God".................

As far as the Sky pundits are concerned BM is immune from criticism when it comes to our side,
Always has been and always will be. Fullsome praise particularly from his namesake Barry is never far
away. Whether we have been steamrollered or had a rare win its the same old script.
And so yes its hardly surprising to hear yet more talking of up Mac.
Personally I hope he does get the Bulls job to allow him to progress, as we by the sound of it are holding
him back. If he goes I genuinely hope he does well. But yes FWIW I agree with most here in that a change is required.

I =#FF0000 would go will all that with the exception of the end of PB. He has done a reasonable job when you consider the poor form, the recession and the World Cup. There may even be an increase in gates this season. Definitely get Welsi on board, for media purposes, player recruitment and strategy, he would make a good replacement for CW. Gutters is left field but that is what we need to get the attention of the local populace.

| Brian must go. Paul Blanchard should remain. If we are to bring in a former player to coach he must be attractive to work with, an RL legend. Henry Paul would be ideal rather than someone popular but average.
