4 of us booked in for Friday to Monday (and some others joining us later).

Anyone else doing the whole weekend, or just Saturday only?

Would be good to have a meet-up. We were thinking of the Prince of Wales pub (Wetherspoons pub near the Station) for pre and post match festivities. Open to suggestions though.

I am - going by train but just for the day. Meeting up with a couple of mates who are playing in the Masters game at Blackwood in the morning. Can't wait.

Myself, the Better Half & The Essex Boy are driving down Saturday morning & staying for the whole weekend, then driving back Monday morning.
Don't know about meeting in a pub though, as we have all given up alcohol !!!!

Going down by train Saturday morning and back Sunday afternoon.

4 of us travelling down on Friday night but having to stay outside Cardiff as we were late booking hotels. Will still try and squeeze in a brief Gavin and Stacey pilgrimage to Barry Island ! Tidy! Can only do the Saturday as 2 of our lot have to work on Sunday so will have to head back to Kent after watching Saints wallop Wigan!

Me plus brother will be there Friday night til Sunday night, sitting in m31, and im sure we can pop into the prince of Wales Friday / saturday evenings

Saturday during football season, possibility of crap weather leading to rail disruption, lack of affordable accommodation (B&Bs in Cathederal Road where I usually stay for cricket fully booked months in advance), been to Cardiff loads of times, nowhere near as good for a long weekend as Edinburgh. I'm underwhelmed.

I can usually do around half a dozen Quins away trips per year for financial and practical reasons, and frankly I'd rather do Castleford away in early summer and have a weekend in Leeds than this.

Fair enough, but nothing beats watching our brave boys with the London Massive.

Have you seen the Newport state of mind video on Youtube? Could give you a bit of a laugh before you set off for the place. Its a spoof of the Jay Z/ Alicia Keys track 'Empire State of Mind', very funny !! Although its a spoof the girl in the video is a great singer mind.
