A quick/belated heads up for London based RL fans. Yesterday I spoke to the landlord (Phil from NZ who likes RL and RU) at the Hope pub on Whitfield St, W1, and he has assured me that both RL matches will be on at the Hope tomorrow if anyone is up for joining us. The pub has also been done up (for anyone who has watched rugby league there with us in the past) and has some nices real ales on (I watched the CC semi in there and sampled the ales!). It also has a split sky feed and can show football and rugby at same time. Be good so see some forum folks again. We'll be there from about 5pm. Anyone coming? Note that the games could be on upstairs so check there.

Btw we'll be aiming to watch the SL GF in here in a few week

Decent pub is that - I work nearby. Will they show friday night play-off games too?

Hi Penguin - Went to the pub yesterday and we watched the first game upstairs with sound on (football was on downstairs as it kicked off first) and the second game downstairs/ground floor again with sound on. The Hope does not get too busy on Saturdays anyway

On Fridays, I'm sure theyll put the games on but I dont know about sound as well as it gets busy between 5-8pm. Might be easier to get a bit of sound on upstairs. Having said that the pub used to thin out from 8pm, so who knows. Its always easier to justify if a few turn up. A few years ago we had big turnouts so it helped to get sound on. If we can get regular numbers of 10 or more it will really help.

Not sure whether to go for the Fri or Sat game yet for next week. Or you could always pop in yourself and have a chat with him. His name is Phil (my name is Steve btw).
