Hi guys - thought it was about time I joined up to this (I read it enough!)
My name is Simon Fitzjohn, and as you may/may not know I cover Quins for the Richmond & Twickenham Times (with the odd piece in the match programme and stints helping out with Radio London).

Anyways - since the start of this season I have been pushing my editor etc for increased Quins RL coverage, both in the paper and our website. We now have usually two pieces in the paper each week (Mac & a player), and we now source pics from all games - home and away.
These reports also go on the website earlier in the week, and this is where the problem comes in.
As of yet this season NONE of the Quins pieces I have written have troubled our top ten 'most read' chart on the website, and that is usually seen as the barometer for whether to increase coverage. (FYI a story needs about 200 reads to get into the top ten)

My plea is thus: Can any Quins fans that would like to see the profile build PLEASE go to our website and look at our stories (for example yesterday I put a piece with Chad Randall talking about Jamie O'C)

The website is www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk - click on sport, then other sport, then rugby league and hey presto.
The more reads we get, the more I can write and who knows they may even give rugby league its own section!

I will come on here and post whenever I have added a new story - if you can follow the instructions I have given above rather than a link it will register as a new read and we can get the ball rolling.

I want this to succeed as much as you guys, but I can't do it without you!
