poor performance today for the giants

out attack was shocking, wood and brown wasnt working, bit better in the 2nd half with robbo switching.

mcgillvary, mason and horne only players to come out with any credit.

roll on next week when we can get faalogo, griffin and faiumu back on the pitch!!!

Yeah that's right...Wakey chose to play all their International players, whilst Giants only played some of theirs!

Wakey, played the conditions far better then us and it was always difficulot to chase a game in those conditions.

Just watched the Bulls/Saints game and it was pretty much the same, knock on's galore - akin to watching someone trying to pick up a bar of soap - summer rugby anyone



not too much damage with Wire, losing and Wigan and Saints only drawing.

I thought Keith Mason was your best forward and looked the one most likely to break the defensive line.

Which players were "unfit" then and why?

Wakey were far better team today. Played the conditions perfectly. Simple game plan and cut out the mistakes. We did the opposite and our ball retention was diabolical. Jerry dropped at least two, lawrence, Eorl, Gilly, Brown cudjoe all made mistakes.

We did not lose today because of players missing but because we had too may players (who would have played anyway) making silly mistakes.

if we only had one player having a mare thyat would have been bad enough but to have about half a dozen making silly mistakes made it worse. Why we kept kicking to the wings rather vthan go for grubbers into the in goal and playing the possession game is beyond me.

We had Morrison backing up who at the age of 35 played 65 on Friday and played again today so I don't know why more of your players who are younger and had less game time on Friday couldn't back up today.

We only had two exiles who didn't back up, the rest are injured. Brown shouldn't have played he clearly wasn't fit. At the end of the day wakey won because of the giants poor discipline, wakey got over the try line just once in the first few minutes and then our defense was sound. On a lighter note - we NEVER have to go to the see-nowt stadium again-- yay!

Was told yesterday that over the last 2 weeks the players as part of the programme to have them peaking and leveling out at certain times of the season, have been flogged repeatedly, and were infact just shattered (Browny obviously and rightly, thinking we should have enough to beat Cas and Wakey). hopefully though this process will see us get the benefits when we get to the business end of the season. Better to lose to lower teams and beat the teams around us than the other way round IMO.

Well if that's the case there's a partial excuse for them. I know that in the Crusaders away game they looked physically exhausted. The site of Fooey and Eorl on their haunches under the sticks in that game during the second half was memorable for all the wrong reasons!

cant use fatigue as an excuse im sorry, we have one of the biggest squads and have rotated like mad early season

god knows what other teams players are like if our lot are tired!
