its all well and good banging on about they're 10,000+ fans etc but what they fail to realise is they club realised that they were struggling on the field and were losing 'license points' because they were such a dismal side so pulled out a trick to score extra points on the off field section

This season is sh** or bust for Bradford, they have gambled on offering a very cheap season ticket to avoid a further dramatic slump in attendances, due to the poor on field exploits of recent seasons.

If they fail to impress this season and show signs of massive improvement will they beable to afford such a cheap season ticket next season. Great if it comes off, but dismal fail if it does not.

Whereas we have KD, a great ground and a great team they have not, all they have left is to bang on about how many trophies they have and even then Wadski owned them.

I'm quite amused at how many people have taken to slinging mud around here. I think certain posters need to take a look at their own club (and i mean from both sides!) before mocking the inadequacies of the other.

IMO the game on Sunday (yes, i'm actually going to make a comment on the game which I think the thread is actually supposed to be dedicated to

) will be close.

Despite what any of you may think on here, the Bulls are much stronger this year, mainly due to the fact we have a coach who knows what he's doing!!!

Even though the Giants may have been the better side in recent years I'm fairly confident of a Bulls win at the weekend, as long as we can cut the silly penalties and keep our key players on the field rather than on the bench with an ice pack!!!

I doubt any Giants fans will agree but hopefully either way we'll see a good game of rugby!!!

Yeah lets all laugh at the Bulls for being innovative and devising a plan to make more profits and secure some of the biggest crowds in Super League. That is definately something to laugh at.

That's a great reason for coming up with this initiative isn't it? The club realised something needed to be done to address the falling attendances, they have done, it helps to secure the license and gets more and more fans through the gate and spending ££ on food & merchandise.

Already showed signs of massive improvement. Not hard considering how bad we were last season.

It was a good idea and it will be interesting to see if a good season for the Bulls will retain a good percentage of these fans for next year when the prices will no doubt creep up a bit. When we did it we retained a fairly good percentage the season after so a good season for the Bulls could well see a similar result.

the funniest thing on this thread is bulls4champs2010 ( must not s!) suggesting repeatedly that we are also rans, no my friend we are not also rans we are a club that has been nowhere near the top end of the rugby league circles for the best part of 40 years! and have lived in the shadow of leeds bradford,halifax,even dewsbury and hunslet at times! and dreamed of being where they were,top flight etc pulling in big crowds ( obviously only bradford northern fans will be aware of this ever being the case).
right now we are a club on the up and halifax, hunslet and dewsbury fans probably wish they could be where we are now! we are very close to overtaking bradford on the field and last year matched them off the field,this year could again be a close run thing.
so i would hardly call a club that has achieved nothing of note in 40 odd years also rans, i would say that is a club on a massive upturn in fortunes!

Bradford had 3 problems in the last 3 years. Falling crowds, a poor team and a poor coach. All 3 problems have been addressed.

Despite the blinkered views of some on here, this is not going to be an easy game for either side. Can't see it being more than 1 or 2 scores in it.

No I wouldn't expect you to praise the club, but making a post laughing at a successful campaign doesn't make any sense.

Out of interest how many more season tickets did you sell when you offered reduced cost tickets?

How did your system work? Did your club just offer cheap season tickets or did they set a target for season ticket sales which had to be reached before the price was set at the lower figure?

You seem to have forgotten that rather than getting rid of the poor coach you have promoted him into a position where we all have to endure him.

Sorry, but you can't blame Bradford for that. We're not the RFL. Blame them.

Looks to me pretty close, with us shading it in the backs and the bench. Whilst i like Gilly i think he will have his hands full with ah van which is why i scored them even. Platt has apparently been playing out of his skin but both centres have the ability to make big errors so i would score them even.
mason should hopefully be back but Lynch has to be ahead of him on form this season

As for O'D and Langley i think that O'D is the better and more skilful who loves tackling player but may need things to warm up 6 or 7 o so we see the best of him. I have always liked Langley, big , tough workaholic

We would seem to have the advantage in the kicking game and at half back BUT it all depends on which team turn up. The forwards cannot play like they did at cas and the backs cannot play like they did at Quins.

there are many things however which could change this game. Discipline will be the key. On paper i would back us to win, in reality i could see it as been as much as 3 scores either way if one team does not turn up or cannot maintain discipline particularly with Childs reffing. Any teams pack who gets a roll on will have Childs whistling them down the pitch.

I think you pretty much highlighted every best player correctly there, with the exception of Diskin. Lunt is still quite raw as a player in terms of his talent and his development, Disko is revelling in more gametime, trust me.



But, I feel you are pretty correct with the prediction. Personally, I feel our pack can match yours, especially with the addition of Langley back into it. I feel it's the halves and outside backs where you may just edge it.

I'd agree with that, i'd also dispute that Scruton is a better bench spot than Patrick although he has'nt shown the form this season as yet.
