The more I see of wood the more I like, he is really gaining in confidence it's a shame that when the injured players come back he will lose his spot.

Yeah first up I was a little critical of Wood for passing too soon, Jerry could have gone all the way with a later pass I think but on the replay it was obvious wood had to pass, top marks for getting the ball away then going down.

i thought the signs were there last week at cas, we look to be getting over the slump particularily on attack, defence too was a lot better for me, the last 2 rovers try were superb would have been scored against most other teams. Agree kirmond had a strong game, but thought fuey and robbo were superb, wood gets better every game, walker did ok when he came on and having watched game again thought fairbank made a good go of it especially in defence, 2 weeks to saints game and browny said on his interview on sky players should be back for then, noticable how other than carney sky didnt really mention our injuries though.

It was mentioned in passing at the beginning- made a lot of krs youngsters ESP sheriffe - no mention of walker and fairbank debuts though... Same old sky.

Wood came out at the end with an ice pack round his thigh.

Scott Grix is a Halifax lad and came through the Siddal Club like his brother. He played a season at Leigh I think but thats it

I thought Fairbank did well on debut, in attack he might have struggled to make the Yards of other players but in defence he was everywhere and he tackled pretty much anything. Great effort from all the players yesterday and i think the fringe guys have given Brown alot to think about, i hope Wood is ok he looks a class act, very quick acceleration and thinks fast on his feet. We just need to get our players back and take advantage of Saints after the big derby on Saturday!

as for the game, it was pretty tense for 60 minutes until our superior class came through eventually and i was pleased with the response when rervers hit back.fair play to rervers though they stuck at it and didn't roll over.

funny though how sky never mentioned our "depleted" squad, or how our team of "kids" were magnificent like they would have done with some other clubs who have had a few injuries.

I thought there were positive signs from a fair few of them. Larne ran stronger, for example. Probably Horne's best game of the season too. Will be interesting to see who returns from injury and who NB leaves out.

From the tv replay,good piece of skill from Leroy to stand up Galea,before releasing our right edge attack that led to the Grix try.Low level camera behind the sticks shows what great footwork it was.When Leroy's on his game he is one of the best.
