Harry Newman was offered a scholarship place but went to Leeds initially on a duel scholarship with Leeds Carnegie as he was at that time more union oriented

Really hope we sign Niall Evalds but I have a feeling Cas may pip our noses now im hearing Hardaker won't play for them again.

Do we need Evalds now? With Mamo rankin and macintosh where would he play?

Im all for signing quality young British players. Mamo could only be here for another year before he goes back home and we could need a replacement.

Rankin needs to concentrate on the halves next year and have Gaskell as direct replacement for Halves and centre.

Darnell is better on the wing and we should let him concentrate on that position as a first choice winger.

Evalds is lightening quick and for me could be first choice replacement for full back and wing. He is definitely much better than Rankin, Darnell and Gaskell at FB.

We’ll happily relieve you of Jake Mamo if you want to make room for Niall Evalds. Zak Hardakers time at Castleford appears to be over for the next two years. We’ll hopefully sign a full back although I’m guessing we’ll take the cheap option and move Eden to FB

Why should you need to take the cheap option- hardakers wage will cover a new fullback.

But to get anyone on his level, or even close to it. It will demand a transfer fee.

We’ve just done something we never do as a club by paying £150k for Zak. And it’s lasted 12 months.

sticking with mamo and not bidding for hardaker proved a wise move!

Anderson was derided for recruiting three ex Bradford players. In fact he was derided for his recruitment full stop. Yet the last player he recruited was the only one to get in the dream team and was our player of the year.
Rick stone has also now recruited three ex Bradford players.

roche will be a project, abit like ollie roberts was... he turned out well and so did the other bulls players we recruited

lots of experience in the championship and at 24 a good age to now kick on with the giants... he has his first crack at sl so will want to take it! looks like a second rower in the ferguson mould

Happy with our recruitment before this signing. He only makes our squad stronger, and anyone who will put in the effort in our colours is welcome in my book.
As for Stone, even I have my doubts but signing Turner and Rankin alone has added great quality to our team so his recruitment isn't as bad as some people suggest in my opinion.

Bit strange really as he was obviously very good for Leigh in the championship so surprised they've allowed him to strengthen one of their rivals.

Hope that proves to be right decision ,time will tell ,feeling that Rankin is a better full back than half back but we have only see him play at full back,only going from his time at Hull

think it was the right decision, one coming to the end of his career the other still a good age and can improve further, can see he has the talent as a player, you dont play half back at his age in the nrl if you dont have anything! a good pre season and can stamp himself on the team
