Watch out for broncos left side second row Matty Garside. Huddersfield lad who used to play for slawit and newsome if I recall correctly. Was in our academy but left when he went to uni and I think he played part time for york during his studies before moving to Sheffield then London. Handy player!

Strange one this. The table doesn't lie, and on recent form London do look the better of that trio. On the other hand, we (Fev) battered London on two of the three occasions we played them this year and looked set to beat them until we got three or four bad injuries within a short spell in the other game. Some teams just seem to match up better against one team than against another.

London have been consistent and efficient this year though and Henderson might just about have pipped Kear to the Championship coach of the year award in my book.

A bit like Fev v Leigh games this season, well every season for the last few years. Against Leigh, London played Harlem Globetrotter rugby in the last 15 minutes and every throw and hope pass stuck and they nearly shocked us. They tried the same against Leeds but not everything stuck. If they are lucky enough then they may just shock the Giants.

First half was frustrating but mainly because of Childs being one eyed but London defended very well in the face of much giants pressure

Agreed, would like to see the same except Brierley for Ellis and Rapira for Huby.

Some one tell me again how we should be playing Brough at Hooker, and what Ellis brings to the side other than effort.

Brough may not be at the level he was a couple of years ago but he is still the best player at the Giants by a long way.

I don't claim to be a stats person, but some on here are up on them, Look the stats up and they quite clearly show Brough is just in a different league to Ellis, He would still get into any SL side, whereas Ellis couldn't get into any till he came to us.

Nothing to do with aussie players, grix, Brough been a hooker, Ellis not good enough or anyone that some blames or bugs up after one good game or one bad one.

Was pretty nervous about this game as London are a good side who can score plenty of points. If the 40.4 score was offered beforehand I would have taken it so have to be pleased. Massive attitude change at half time from us which is what we have needed for ages. Hope that was due to Rick giving them the hard word along with the players accepting it. With that and some more determined drives and moving the ball around supporting each other we racked up the score and could well have scored more. Just as important that we maintained the defensive effort throughout. If only we had done the same at Batley.
Will need to show up with that attitude at Leigh. As for individual players for me we still aren't playing our best mix but probably not the time to experiment too much. To be fair to Rick he has had little time to determine his best mix and seems to be concentrating on just improving the effort and belief. So far so good for me.
Special mention to Oli and Nath who gave us great impetus when on, and also for Kruise who looked really direct and offered a much faster PTB. Broughy is just fab but but needs to watch his temper as he is too easily wound up. Plenty of positives though and best that we seem to be getting some of the confidence back in each other.
What a great game we have in store for next week absolutely massive. Our SL status is in our own hands now - a 3 game series to win that massive prize and look towards next season with some belief that we can get back our competitive edge. We just now need to see the team show that determined attitude and keep up the improvements not accepting anything other than the very best each has to offer. COYG.

Agree with that completely. Don`t know what Stone is thinking not selecting Brierley, he backs breaks regularly and that is something we are sadly missing when he`s not playing.

I do agree with most of that, but i do not accept that our position is down to Brough, that is what i was responding too.
