Good rant, but aim it at a Wigan fan next time

i remember the big one 3 being promoted a couple of years ago.. cheap tickets for us but the uptake wasnt great.

it does seem a bit of a farce, im sure there will be enough space in either the east or north stands to accommodate all Huddersfield fans, although they wont because of the groupon deal.

I'm not sure there'd be room in the East, However depending on how many Wiganers have bought ticket's in the north through the Heinz deal then there would probably be room in there. The problem you then have though is disgruntled people who have paid £20 to sit behind the sticks who didn't want to sit along the side then having fans sat with them who have paid a lot less. There's probably no easy way to please everyone in this scenario.

dont see why that would cause an issue - bradford (twice) and salford have done groupon deals for hudds games and those that have taken up the deals have been in the same area as those that didnt take up the offer. no disgruntlement that I noticed, but then those other clubs didnt try to make people sit or stand in particular areas like wigan.....

I didn't realise they where forcing you at gun point to sit anywhere.

I think what she means is that in the past the Groupon deals have allowed you to purchase tickets for anywhere you like rather than 2 specific blocks in specific stands. I have done Groupon for Saints and Salford away and they have let me have tickets for the allocated away stand rather than making us go in the home areas.

They may has well have done! They point blank refused to swap the kids junior tickets for east stand tickets. But tried to get me to pay £30 for tickets for them...Erm two more groupons please...

I can virtually guarantee we will have more than 500. The chatter about this game is very good and i think that a lot have done the group on deal.

Well hope you will be OK in the East stand, last time we played them they set off flares, and started fighting amongst themselves !

12 of us in east stand we usually win in the recent past when we've sat there, hopefully same again, it would make much more sense though if wigan stewards directed all giants to north stand, but this been RL no chance of that happening, sense isnt a word that you associate with RL management.

if, wigan decided to offer giants fans chance to move to the north stand, how many would take the offer up?
I suspect if it happened that most of our lot would stay where their tickets say.

Us too, we are in the far corner anyway so not much different from sitting behind the sticks and I'd rather be with a load of other giants than crammed in with a load of folk from the wrong side of the hills!

It appears that Wigan weren't really expecting a large amount of visiting fans to take up this offer, they presumed we'd all buy from our club and they Groupon tickets would all go to Wigan fans.

Not just our sales and marketing department who can't see the obvious then!

indeed, todays examiner reporting in the region of 2k on friday night from giants, would love to see this!

I reckon a couple of hundred at least have taken up the groupon deal - I know one person who has bought 34 tickets! I would expect the examiner to have got some idea from the club based on how many tickets they have sold and not just plucked a figure out of thin air!

i cant see 2K quoted on anything I've looked at on the online examiner.
