| You'll have made. Not as much as you should have, but we ate and supped enough!
Batley were great, we were woeful. The sending off was harsh but IMO not a game breaker. In the last 15 when we actually realised we might lose we ran a bit harder. I'm not sure what they think they've achieved to fall in love with themselves and/or disrespect the opposition like that but they stood off, they didn't run their weight. Half 4rsed. Half baked. Half asleep.

| Oh everyone please get a grip FFS.
Let's see some positives. It was bad enough at the game with all the whinging.
1 Batley played very well.
2 LOD played very well
3 We got away with making many changes and still won
4 It was a win
5 It was a win
I saw Bramley draw 24-24 with Wigan in the CC in 1984 and it would have been a win to Bramley had a guy called Shaun Kilner not miss a last minute drop goal by inches - they went on to Wembley.
Giants were down and out against Cas two years ago and playing terribly - they went on to Wembley.
It's a big game v a weakened Sts next week. i'd rather everyone keep their best performances for that when a full strength team will be out.
It's been years since I've been to Batley and I forgot how steep the pitch is. Batley used it well and came out of the blocks in Defence. Giants Didn't. But at the end of the day no-one cares if you win by one or one hundred and one in the cup.

All I have to say about today is that thankfully Brown didn't listen to the likes of you that would have rested half the team given the chance.
If we hadn't have played a strong squad we would have got annihilated today.
Like I said, disrespect a CC game at your peril. And that, is why people mention Hunslet.

We may go on and win the cup but after a performance like that we would be lucky to win another game, last 4 games we haven't been at the races and something has clearly gone t*ts up.
Could be Nathans annual do I stay or do I go performance(why he does it every may is beyond me as he off nowhere till end of season) or could be something else?
Some of the team look like their confidence is shot to pieces and the try where Batley scored as 4 of our players looked at each other was laughable.
Batley were the better team today and you could not tell which was the SL team, there is some work to be done and by brushing it under the carpet, we solve nothing.
So whatever happens in the next games let's not forget Crusaders, Castleford, Catalans and Batley to name just a few games where we didn't perhaps do as well as we could have?
By the way these are just opinions and we all have differing ones else would be pretty boring.

How can you be so sure? We haven't played well since Rhinos game imo.
Unfortunately form is not like a tap you can turn on and off as you feel like it.

| The Leeds, Warrington and Bradford games aside we haven't been sparkling all season.
But the results have rolled in.
When everything clicks they play great. But you just cannot keep the intensity up for a whole season. Everyone has dips.
When Giants fire they will be up there in the mix. Don't worry about that.

| We havent had a "big" game since Leeds and a team cant stay at peak all the time, maybe they dipped too much (in fact they did) but Easter is over, we are at halfway point and 2nd in the league.
now its time to start building momentum again for the end straight.
The team will lift for Saints, end of story.

| The only positive i saw today was the fact Batley tired late on allowing us to pinch the game - we were awful and yes we got through but thats not always good enough ! if we want to be taken seriously our players HAVE to put more effort in.
Today they thought the draw had put them through before kick off !

| Don't you think with a "weakened team" we might of done better! The point is our big boys didn't put in 100% and didn't have enough respect for batley who played really well.

| I thought it was a weakened side being played.
Brono and Cudjoe out of position, Larne starting with a second row of Kirmond and Cording.
Dodgy getting a game.
Wood, Molloy and Fairbank on the Bench.
I would say six or seven of that seventeen won't get in next week.

Good post and I agree wholeheartedly.
Yes, we were poor. But didn't deserve to win? No way.
Our main problem seems to lie in the mental attitude when playing 'lesser' teams. If blame is to be apportioned then it surely must be at the coaches' doors. [Like setting off with no thought to Bank Holiday traffic!
And one for the Dodgy watchers. Why on earth did he attempt to catch that high ball one-handed? Hasn't he had enough coaching for high balls? Must do better. [He caught it? Oh, never mind!
How does he get them to rip at the back like that ?. It happened at Leeds as well. In thirty odd years of watching I have never seen a shirt ripped at the back and now twice in a month.

| We have a cracking team but our downfall is our complacency. We play at the level we expect our opposition to play. We could play St.George one week and give them a real good game, the week after we could play Shaw Cross and scrape a win. We lack the killer instinct to put lesser teams to bed early. Yesterday was bad but it doesn't worry me that we'll play like that again. Take nothing away from Batley it was their cup final and it was only due to the effort they'd put in for an hour that they fell short in the last 15mins.

| We rubbish our lads too much, they know in a game like that they are on a hiding to nothing and when a team put`s up a showing like Batley did, they probably try too hard and things don`t come off.
Let`s face it if Batley played like that every week, they would win everything in front of them during the season.
And as for us not deserving to win ?? We did score 6 try`s to 3 the game is 80 minutes not 60.
