At least we're getting battle hardened

We are too big for our own boots. We make all the noise in the papers about not taking people lightly etc blah but it's garbage. They think they can just turn up & win, time after time, and they never learn. It's embarrassing. Anderson needs to sort this out, and fast, or he should do one because it's just not good enough. They don't try hard enough! Unforgivable.

Players should still be doing better but it sounded like we were doing ok until we lost Conner and Jerry in quick succession which with no direct replacements on the bench is bound to cause disruption.

Ultimately the buck stops with him and if we lose this game today, injuries or not, then the pressure is building IMO. Big time.

We don't appear to be learning from our mistakes.

Sounds like the ref J Roby is his usual crap self. Radio commentator left scratching his head a few times after some of his decisions, still sounds like a p*ss poor effort from the team today though.

The one thing i would ay is that the way the league is panning out at the minute Points difference could be important and we are doing ourselves no favours on that score.

people can moan all they want about performance etc but performance doesn't earn the win,you don't get bonus points for playing well ,we are doing enough to win games at the moment so im not complaining

Well we got the two points. London were always going to be up for it losing there coach. They have been improving also.
Conditions haven't been good and we had two injures.

Sounds like our forwards had a decent game.. Just couldn't finish our sets off too good.
Errors are still a problem.

This will probably be the perfect run out to have before Bradford next week. A walkover over and an easy game wouldn't have done us much good.

Why irrelevant, commentator says clear high tackle on Connor- no penalty. Clear high tackle on Lunt (ithink)-no penalty. Quite a few blatant knock ons by both teams - play on. Tai pounces on loose ball- Penalty (offside) London (giving them a 3rd set of 6 on our line), commentator left scratching head. Sounded like quite a few strange decisions were given today., Think when the ref is having what sounds like a poor game it is relevant, the ref may not drop the ball, give stupid pens away, but teams win matches on the back of sh*t decisions and penalties given away willy nilly by poor officials.

Well we did enough to win - just.

Not a good performance though we lacked aggression in defence and was either one out in attack mostly or very slow to spread play. Moves were too predictable or we tried to force the pass.

But we won - bring on the Bulls

I thought Roby was ok

Giants didn't play well and missed Robbo and grix. Connor and jerry going off disrupted things.

London were ok.

Loved the ground (apart from the rain) and some good banter.

Another banana skin avoided.

Easy to criticize only based on the score of 16-10 at half time, but in a game where two backs are injured only a short time into the match the whole team is disrupted. Not to mention the ball becoming a bar of soap in those conditions! Be happy with the win and hope it's sunny next weekend

If we can keep picking up the points and not playing well then hopefully at some stage we will click and start playing well and then....

Tough game. Losing 2 players led to 2 quick London tries. It changed at half time when the team was reorganised, broughton switched wings and defence was much stronger. London were much improved and line speed was excellent, off side a lot actually. A win was vital though. Didn't work too well with Bailey in the halves at times.

The first half the team looked strong, but losing Jake and then Jerry within a few minutes screwed us up big time. We limped into the sheds at half time.

The second half the entire team formation had been completely changed. We then played like a team again.

Lunt and Wood both played 80 minutes, Ta'ai and Eorl put in long stints too.

We dodged a bullet today, and it wasn't the fault of the players or the coach. They rallied around and pulled out a good result from an absolute mess.

Depends which team you support - the ref seemed to allow a few high shots from Hudds players, and only pulled the Giants up for offside after consistent calls from London fans. It would also seem that passing the ball forward from dummy-half is absolutely legitimate if you're wearing the right shirt.

I will, however, accept that it is my overactive imagination that made me think he consulted Crabtree before giving a Huddersfield try.

All a matter of perception, I guess.

Jerry injury - ref played on as Jerry was off the field.
Giants restart - ref stops game even though Quins player was off the field.

Only player you can consider "rested" from that 3 is grix- and everyone has been moaning about Connor not getting a shot!!!!!
Robbo was helped whilst he wobbled off the field last week after 'tackling huby with his head' -I expect he didn't pass the necessary test to be cleared to play. Murph and broughton have been alternating for the wing spot all season.

Because the default position of our posters is blame the ref.

Never the players, never the coach. We blame the ref immediately and then common sense prevails afterwards.


IF [size=150Taai of the Loose carry[/size could hold a ball we should have been 16 points up after 15 minutes. It is likley we would have then won the game much more comfortably.

If you are two scores better than the other team ref's mistakes should not affect a result too much.

The reason Ta'ai loses the ball is not always loose carry he is one of the few who actually tries to run on to the ball at speed and our passing at times yesterday was shocking !!! Both his two tries he scored were at pace the pass was right and the defence thus couldn't stop him.

London had obviously read the 'beat Huddersfield' game plan risk the offside call to get up early, interfere in the tackle, get Brough upset with the referee and when we kick through pull the man back at least three went unchecked.

For 40 minutes and beyond it worked and London were enthused that first 40 minutes was shocking !!!

Roby was inconsistent and that irritates both fans and players the pull back on Broughton was also straight in front of the touch judge who must have been dazzled by the sun to miss it oops it was raining !!!!

I'd bring Kafusi back from Bradford and send the once again woeful Kopjack to Batley for a few weeks. As both he and Eorl need to run in with some speed instead of standing still. They should watch Ta'ai and Wardle who do this properly.

We got out of jail yesterday it was a long drive though for such a poor quality match although it's a nice little ground and the bare and refreshments were good.

Luckily Ferres is back next week and we may play a bit better but the Bulls could be a banana skin if we turn up and play as poorly again.

On a positive note the first Anderson plan B of the season in swapping the wing and centres to plug the leak London exploited so well in the first half !!! Mindst maybe he heard the fans shouting about it on his way back to the dressing room at half time as it was lucky London blew two more chances in that period !!!
