Probably the best of the Bradford youngsters IMHO.

Would probably have to let players go at the end of the season if we are to make changes and bring players in.

We have very few who are near the end of contract afaik.

I thik the conditions limited most players ability on Sunday. Plus the fact he's also only 18. I would be happy if Huddersfield board/coach thought the same as you. Bateman is going to be one of the best back-rowers in the game. If you signed him he would become a player you built your team around for the future.

I've nothing against the lad.I'm just saying that on Sunday's showing I wouldn't be rushing out to sign him. But that's only one game.

Even so, I still think we've already got enough 2nd rowers who are better. If he's as good a prospect as you say I think the Bulls will be hanging on to him if they are able.

Agent (and possibly people at Bulls) using lazy press to get a bigger wedge from Wolves in transfer fees.

Personally can't see it- we won't be able to afford him-if we are having to loan out Lunt to keep our current youngsters!

Yeah weve all heard KB going back to wigan for a massive amount, but were would he get in? Better stay here as his position is safe cos he is the skipper.

Bateman is definitely one for the future!

He would struggle to get first team rugby at us at the moment unless we got rid of Faalongo early. He should stay with Bradford and continue developing the way he is.

In 2 years I would love him at Fartown.

Lunty going to Leeds had nothing to do with money or Cap,he wanted out for rugby reasons only end of.
