Massive game for us this one. We've had a break, we're coming off 2 wins, should be a good crowd, now is the time we really need to kick on. At the moment, I think Cas will win this in a close game. I've just not seem enough from our forwards this season to indicate we'll beat a team in the form that Cas are but if we can win this I think we'll go from strength to strength.

Cas have some forward injuries at the moment so nows the time for our front row to show up!

Just had a quick look on the Cas board to find out who might be in their squad- they haven't even got a thread for this match that I can see!

Perhaps they ought to stick on here more as they are way off the mark regarding our team reading some comments- best pack in the league

not any new injuries though i dont think, the ones mentioned were already out, it was just really an update on how long they were out for ..boyle for example

shame we are missing faiumu and ferres, two big players for us

Massey and Flemming are new injuries to go with Boyle Dorn and gilmour. Of them only Dorn and Boyle/Massey are first teamers but we are probably an interchange prop short which isn't ideal with Leeds 4 days later. Bigger stints for huby and millo which I won't complain about!

cas 2/1 for the win....

interesting we are only 2 points behind where we were last season at this stage.. if only those two draws were wins!

At the end of round 10 last season we had 14 points - 4 more than we have now- had won 7 lost 3 and were 3rd in the table!

Depends what he calls at this stage- but if we are going by rounds then we are further behind than two points and 4 places behind where we were.

Don't dabble in the real ale too much myself but I think The Sportsman is your best bet. Less than 2mins walk from the Train Station and about a 10min walk to the Stadium.

i know but just that he didnt return to uk till late this week and not played for a few weeks now, but he can do a great job in short stints at prop so get him playing!

Let's hope the giants can make it three out of three. Academy U19s annihilated Cas academy 60-6. Jake Connor stands out a mile and 16 year old Liam Johnson scored two and made one.
Followed by a solid win for u16 (including a handful of u15s too) against Cas u16s 38-10

Went to watch the U16's as kid I used to coach and recommended to Giants was playing, he scored 2 tries and was very impressed with the whole team performance. Keep up the good work, onto tomorrow as a realist cant see us making it 3 outta 3 this weekend as Cas going great and us not so great. Need to be on top of our game from 1-17 to get owt out of this one.

It's gonna be a close game and ultimately a cracker to watch, my feeling is the giants will just edge it being that bit fresher for the week off, oh and coupled with the fact we have never won a game in which James (love) child is the referee
