If Brown wasn't fit he shouldn't have played, when other players haven't been fit they have been left out of the team. Looking at certain posts on this board I feel it is like our coach, it has it's favourites.

with robinson on the bench?
possibly cudjoe with mcnally at full back?

| Brown has said he would pick form players. lets see if he is a man of his word.... Agree with CJ about coach having favourites, i guess its only human nature, but when its your job, you need to be seen to be doing as you say you will ... picking on form.

I would have played Cudjoe at stand off as was stated just previously, Cudjoe is good enough to cover several position.

| Cudjoe has been playing well of late as long as he is not at fullback.
Brown was not at his best by a long way last week but the conditions were awful and he may not have been fully fit. As for saying he was outplayed by Gareth Moore not really. What did Moore actually do in the game other than kick three penalties and drop a goal.
I would like Griffin to stay but if he goes it is not the end of the world. He is certainly not our best prop as has been claimed on here. Crabtree is superior both in attack and defence and i would probably put Mason ahead of him as well. The club will make the right decision and continue to move forward just as it has when far more influential players have left.

agreed. Thought the Wakey standoff ran the show for them, positional kicking, goal kicking and never shirked the tackling either, realy led from the front. Brown was on the pitch so was expected to do a job and unfortunately he didnt, the bullet pass to wardle, where they scored the 1st try, in those conditions being a prime example

Eh!!! He kicked us to death, he didn't attempt one silly cut out pass and won MOM.

The thing that Griffin brings to the table is consistency IMO. You're right though, when you consider how the team have handled the departure of Hodgson we should be able to pull something out of the bag if he's on his way.

| Griffin appears to do more than he actually does. He is actually doing far less tackling and taking fewer drives than either Crabtree or Mason. He does make very few errors though and is very consistant. If he wants to leave though i am sure there are repacements available. Larne Patrick has the potential to be a better player.
The pass from Brown that led to Luke Georges try was ridiculous it was obvious that long passes would not work in the conditions the fact it was 20 yards from our own line just made it even more stupid.

| Griffin is a dependable player, he is still contracted to us and him earning an England cap means that if anybody wants him they will have to pay decent money.
As for the idea we kept sculthorpe- brilliant, seeing as he didn't play a single game the following year at Bradford we made exactly the right decision. With a squad our size we need to keep players like Raleigh in case of imjury he can do a decent job but is cheap!

Maybe that's why the coach keeps leaving him out because he has to play his big earners!

| I dont think that has any bearing on it. Patrick Kirmond and Horne are all getting more game time and will not be big earners.

He can play in several positions and is a softc*ck in all of them. On the wing his frailties are least damaging.
He is a disasterous fb - refuses to catch high balls , letting them bounce. When he returns the ball we watch him jog hesitantly. he is disinclined (i am being polite here) to tackle.

You may think there are no superstars. Other people may look at the likes of Brough, Robbo, Faiumu, Fa'alogo and O'Donnell + the likes of Big Eorl and Gerry and see much more than 'just hard working players'

| The fact that people on here are pulling a TWENTY ONE year old to bits is shocking. He has had so much pressure on him this year following him getting the England cap and getting the giants out of jail twice in the playoffs. Massive things were expected at the start of this season from some. Show me a player who makes zero mistakes. Brett hodgson made more errors than any other player in SL but still got MOS- we have probably the youngest 3/4 line in SL, (I'm counting gilly as a back row) mistakes are bound to be made- when was the last time cudjoe needed to kick on a regular basis- He's bound to be out of practice. Personally I think leroys passing skills are wasted on the wing. Bit he lacks the confidence for FB. 4 or 6 for me.

Totally agree with this, can't we just get behind the WHOLE team instead of having a go at some of them. Get a grip people!!

A win this Sunday and you will be talking like the giants are invincible. Crikey. Get some perspective folks, and for some, come back to reality.

The likes of Eorl,Jerry,Brough,Robbo etc i would say have become better players under our coaching than they were at their other clubs...due to their willingness to work hard to get to where the coach wanted them !....they certainly weren't brought to the the club as 'superstars' of the game.
Plus Doof has also been hammered on here recently too ......the players who are getting bagged - ie Leroy (an England international, raised by the club from Junior level) Hodgson - (another ex international) Raleigh - (excellent clubman who has stuck at the club despite not been a regular) deserve a damn sight more respect than some of you lot are giving them !!!
I am more than happy with the squad we have at this club and i suggest to the people who aren't happy with what's happening here that you maybe best advised to find another club to support !!!

Pulling him to bits? - Bullsh*t. Check out recent match videos at fb..how often does he let the ball bounce? When does he ever tackle around the legs and when does he run the ball back fast and hard at fb? That in the play offs he showed great speed when put into space [uon the wing[/u is not in question.
With options available at fb and centre I would only consider leroy on the wing (but Hodg and Jerry should not be dropped atm). However I think Nathan B wil put him at centre for the French game.

What a joke. If you dare question a player then you should find another club pathetic.
I have made some specific comments about Cudjoe. If you have evidence that he consistently attempts to catch bombs/ defends well and tackles well etc let's have it. have you ever since leroy put his body on the line in the way Brett H and Grix do so at fb (and they are haf his size) On the wing fine but elsewhere a potential liability.

| Leroy puts his body on the line every week - just like every other Rugby League player..the point i'm making is we have a good squad , a good hard working squad so why the need to pull 1 or 2 individuals out of a succesful group ?
