I thought Wigan's defence was outstanding tonight, they proved they still are the team to beat and have kicked on from last year. Thought the packs both battled well for the full 80 mins but our back line fell short of the mark to beat Wigan's defence. The difference tonight really was Wigan's ability to soak up the pressure and then take their chances when they arrived.

Was dissappointed with Cudjoe tonight, didn't appear to have his head in the game unfortunately.

was our try a try or not?.. my picture wasnt clear and eddie and stevo were of different opionions, it looked a very close call to me from what i could see

For me it looked to go though Gilmour's hands as the ball didn't really seem to change direction.

50/50 call - No clear reason not to give it and advantage goes with the attacking team so it was a try.

That was brutal by both sides

Scoreline definately flattered us though, where did Brough go 2nd half? He was a real thorn in our side in the first with those high bombs, then they just stopped.

How long was the ball in play for, I can't remember very many scrums and other than that there were a few drop outs but that was about all the rest the players had.

not too down after that two good teams imo, we created a lot more than wigan overall but couldnt execute the plays , fair play to the pies think they only had 4 chances and took 3 of em, where as we blew plenty, wether that was down to some superb goal line defence from wigan or poor execution from us, for me thought we deserved a point out of that but never mind long way to go yet. thought charnley and oloughlin we great for wigan, odonnell. faalogo and robbo and grix good for us

We need a attacking coach for a few weeks who can show us how to score from 10 yards out, somthing which we have strugled to do for a while. Brown need to be able to see what he is going to do next well in advance. That killer instinct lost us the game.

Was always going to be like that with Tomkins, Finch, Deacon, Gleeson missing. That's where most of our creativity comes from. We were always going to have to grind this out in the forwards.

I haven't watched sky game yet as got stuck in traffic at game as bad accident on Leeds rd but let me guess, BET STEVO WAS SAYING OUR TRY WAS A NO TRY?

Correct if I remember rightly, Matterson was saying it wasn't a try as well, to be honest from the TV pictures it did look like a knock on. At the end of the day though the video ref decides and you just have to get on with it.

Tbh I was doubtful at the game but haven't watched it yet, just can't stand Stevo and knew he would be shouting Giants no try, tbh not sure what his problem with us is.

There was about 4 angles, one of which was blocked by a physio and 2 others were just bad. There was only one where it looked like he touched it, and I think there was only Phil Clarke out of all the commentators that thought it was a try.

It makes up for the Simpson no try which never saw knock on

Ateontd we fluffed too many chances. We did the same against Bradford lady week but it didn't matter. We need to convert those opportunities. That's all Wigan did.

At times it looked like Huddersfield missed Jermaine McGillvary, think he would have got a few of the tries you guys bombed tonight.

That's a good brief summary. Throughout the game, all I was thinking was 'this is brutal' from both teams. Great advert for the game, that's up there with the most physical SL games I can remember. Closer than the final score suggests, you're definite dark horses for the title this year. Enjoy the rest of the season!

Great game, totally brutal, although Wigan got the 2 points and that's all it is ATEOTD, I thought they deserved it with some awesome defence.

We had plenty of opportunities to score tonight and bombed them, but we have shown we are more than capable of competing at this level.

On another night the result could have gone the other way, one thing is for certain we aren't far off, I do think the right side of Cudjoe and McGilvary would have performed better as we have seen this season. I don't think Charnley would have been Jerry in the footrace to the corner.

Away fans were brilliant, never stopped all night.

Physically brutal game.

Unlike cas defeat , we performed last night. And lots of positives to take away. But 95 per cent was not enough and we missed some opportunities in a tight game of few opportunities.

The third quarter was crucial period where we could not convert all that time on their line into points. We have struggled with this before, whereby we get downfield well, but cannot punch the final hole.ironically perhaps we were too close to the line last night as in the first half broughs bombs where threatening but we were too near to use them in the second half .

Ref was poor, but not the reason we lost. We will watch us play much worse than that this year and win. That will have been a great marker for rest of superlegue, plus we have the squad depth to change things.

Also, think nb will be learning loads about our players and different combos and squad rotation.

I was thinking of lending Nathan my time machine, so he could now have picked mcgival, ferguson and larne.

What a shift and a half LOD did. Looking better and better each game.
