I think you will find it was Fa alogo = most disappointing and Lawrence is better as a centre rather than a winger.

maybe we could all chip in a few quid each and have a couple professional ones done in C&G with simply 'fartown' or 'huddersfield giants' emblazened across the middle !!

Maybe this is something the Supporters Association could look at? We'd need backing from the club but it would be great if we could have something akin to Wigans stand with the unique flags up along the upper tier?

I think it's a little bit nonsensical to set yourself up for all that work once the coach has left. There are other things you could have on the flag that need never be removed and would thus save yourself all that effort at a later date.

I did one for my football club well it was 4, it was professionally done and funds were raised from supporters cost c 600, but a mate of mine had one done, massive flag with embroidery logo stitched in and was c 1500.

These things arn't cheap if done professionally and if you are looking at double stitching, fire proof certificate etc.

........and before you ask no I ain't volunteering to do one, it's a right pain and alot of work, before, during and after (the after is the worst as you end up carrying the thing to and from games, having to get it into grounds via gates rather than turnstiles, late after the game picking it up etc.)

Good luck you'll need it and alot of money if you want it to look original, or you go cheap and nasty - trouble is the flag will last a season maybe 2 as it'll soon rip and fall apart, or you'll get sick of carting it to the games - no one wants to help.

That's okay for those poor individuals on the Kilnerbank side whilst we the more genteel section (no singing - no swearing - no farting - well, no loud farting ) would be unable to gaze on the beauty that would be the Claret and Gold and any relevant message relayed thereupon if it were positioned on the upper tier.
No the best place is on the lower section of the Panasonic (or whatever it's called now).
It would have an added benefit if it was also constructed from a water resistant material which could then be displayed on top of the fans thus giving them some meagre protection from the prevailing winds and rain that is constantly in their faces, giving rise to constant questions regarding the true value of their cheap tickets.

One of you should send a PM to Jukesays and ask how they got the Wigan flags going. It hasn't even been going a year yet and there is already around 24 flags I think with more on order, 700 quid or something raised from collections and a social is being organised to raise more money, the club are also involved. You guys could do something similar, would look class hanging off the tier on the sky cameras.

You must have been going to the wrong suppliers as we've got one flag from 2004 and two from 2005 that, bar being a bit grubby, are still going strong at home, away and abroad.

Was informed the collection went towards a scanner or other medical equipment (I seem to remember a senior consultant presenting it one year) -that not true then no more ?
