Just seen it again on th telly and it was bad. The commentators thought it should have been at least a sin bin. Cullen said it was , '' High, late and to the head''.

Whilst i agree with Nathans comments they should have been kept to the dressing room. My concern is that his frustrations may be boiling over into the public sphere. he has been so good in keeping his comments about refs under wraps this seems uncharacteristic. I am not sure this is a good sign.

No it wasn't don't be such a fool. It was late but with little intent and as the pictures above show it defiantly wasn’t high either. If Luke Robinson would have kept the ball it would have been on youtube under the big hits section. Lockers has read the play wrong thats all.

What about Mason’s punch on Mcilorum that was defiantly high and with intent? I know many will state that it didn’t hurt Mcliorum nor was it that hard of a punch either BUT Lockers didn’t hurt Robinson nor was the hit that hard? So what is the difference?

When 4 Sky commentators agree it was high and late and deserved more than a ticking off then i am happy with my asssessment. the pictures above show nothing. That series of screenshots only shows the left arm of O'Loughlin but the Sporting Life pic shows his right arm was the one doing the damage. Inconclusive. I doesn't look good on the Sporting Life website though, that's for sure.

It shows nothing as he is already going to ground so shows no contact what so ever with the right arm

there are times when a late bust is unintentional and there are time like this where a player deliberately takes the man seconds after the pass. It was exceptionally poor, whilst the hight of the tackle will always be discussed its how late he was and the manner of the intent of the tackle that should be punished. It will be an interesting few weeks.

how is o'loughlin's right arm doing the damage? it is clearly behind his left arm and as for the sporting life's picture o'loughlin's right arm is about a foot above robinson's head, which obviously, after being hit he went into turtle mode.

Well since I stated I hadn't seen the incident it was neither clear or obvious.
However, I've seen the footage on a well known sharing site and can now appreciate the relative positioning of his arms. It was late but I wouldn't call it an attack to the head. I wouldn't be surprised if the panel give a short ban or nothing at all. Flip a coin.
