Not true. Transfer fees are classed as capital expenditure as it is money used to but an 'asset' in the same way as any limited company.
Therefore they are exempt from salary cap.
Otherwise if Warrington are paying out nearly £0.5 million for Myler and Atkins and the salary cap is only circa £1.5 million how are they going to stay under the cap when they have just wiped out a third of next years budget.
Big transfer fees are rare because clubs don't have the money to pay them and would rather sign out of contract players. Warrington are the exception due to there wealthy chairmen who has backed financially in a big way.

How are they gonna pay Hicks, Monaghan, Myler, Atkins, Solomona, Morley, King, Anderson Brothers, Higham, Carvell to name a small few and keep within the cap? Maybe the others play for nowt.
