the Catalan fans are rugby bonkers,both 15s & 13s - the crowd are very passionate,almost intimidating at times,especially when they feel the ref is giving bad decisions.
The crowd would have been capacity had the FFR not decided to play the FCL v Pia playoff game at the same time - typical french planning.....
Yes,you get some good deals in Spain and it's worth staying in places like Lloret etc.

definitely missed Mason IMO.
yeh,no cohesion but Ctalans had a few injuries and Robinson had to rearrange his format and seemed to find the balance - I though Henderson was brilliant yet again with great support from Farrar another fine overall improvement from Dureau who is getting better with each game though his place kicking is still suspect IMO.
Brown & Brough were a big disappointment to me- you seemed to lack a leader on the field.
Grix was excellent again,what a fine player he is and seems a really nice guy too.

Just got home from a fantastic weekend, and anyone who is ever thinking about doing this trip DO IT !!

firstly to answer the original question .... i dont think we were robbed of the points because over the 80 minutes we certainly didnt do enough to win that game, the Dragons were better than us and took the couple of chances that came their way.
as for the 'No Try' i haven't been able to see a replay yet as our skyplus failed to record it

but at the ground it certainly looked fine and neither the Giants or Dragons fans had a clue what they were looking for on the screen never mind why they had disallowed it !!.

in response to the where were our fans questions we had a few there but the were spread out between the Gradin Nord and the main stand.
I spent a half in each stand and there were at least 200 in each stand .

The weather was fantastic and i have come home sunburnt.
the Catalonians are the most friendly, welcoming people you could wish to meet.
I agree that a lot do stay in Lloret and Calella etc as it is so much cheaper than staying in Perpignan especcially those with kids but to me stopping in Perpignan is all part of the experience.
i think i only saw about 20 Giants fans around Perpignan town on saturday night including my group.

Got back yesterday, was on plane there and back with players, back to London today. Very close game which we lost when we could have won in my view. Poor first 20 and last 15, but had 3 break aways from which we should have scored. Leroy no try, Gilmour break and LOD in first half. Poor play by halves, Grix and Fergie, and Gilly very good. Great atmosphere. We went into pizza place after match, by canal, so there were fans around. Well done fans. Browny and players very disappoimted in airport, Robbo massive shiner. Grix could hardly open his eyes, must have had a bender after the match!! Others laughing at him.

We were on the plane out with the players and they seemed very up for it and in good spirits when i spoke to them so i think anyone who says there is a problem in the squad have been proved wrong .

like daz, i have just got back today from another very good weekend in perpignan, but it was the quietest i've ever known perpignan last year the bars and cafe's were packed but this year was very quiet,even the bar owners were disappointed by the lack of giants in perpignan. but the vast majority now seem to be day trippers from the costa brava resorts,shame but understandable given the economical climate.
anyway,i think we actually lost that game rather then they won it, we had enough chances to be out of sight by half time but misplaced passes,dropped balls,wrong options cost us, 2nd half dragons were very strong and even though we didn't create as much we still failed to take our chances,gilmour especially guilty of a howler!, but i didn't think there was anything wrong with jerry's try, even the locals were baffled and shaking their heads.
but having said that catalans deserved it we didnt,simple as that.
another poor easter for us but nothing is won in april/may anymore

Horne at prop is a joke. they waltzed past him for the 1st try. He has been great coming off the bench at tired men. HE IS TOO SMALL TO PROP!!

were was the screen at the ground ?? none of our fans could see one , hadnt a clue what was going on , only that it was going for video ref decision

there was no screen at the ground - there wasn't for the televised game against Bradford either (for the first time if I recall).

They dont have a screen......its only really for the TV viewers which i find a bit strange myself !
