I'm just wondering why you think Nathan is lying about his injury, when he clearly has had no problem leaving him out of the side in the past with no such explanation.'"
i know he is lying about the injury because andy is not injured, i have no idea why he would say he is when he isnt and when we have a must win game to keep season alive and we leave out one of our most reliable defenders for someone ( ferguson ) who if 100% fit is not match fit, two very different things

| Andy is certainly not match unfit, he has been busting a gut to get back in the reckoning and after last weeks stats he has more than earned his place.
I am told, by a very reliable source, that his continued ommission has bewildered more than one of the senior players who have raised the issue with NB, but to no avail apparently.
I have got to agree that his judgement poses more questions than it answers.

| he got a knock on his knee. He went for a scan yesterday. the results are not kown until later today. NB COULD NOT KNOW how long he is out for, if he will be out at all, unless he is a prophet. Why didn't he say 'he is having a scan and we will know more when the results get back to us'? All he has done is put himself in a corner and basicaly told Andy that he wont be playing again this year, no matter what. And it is getting on the wick of lots of the senior players as Keefie said. If your mates are bieng treated badly, would you want to work for the same employer, thinking it could be you next on the hit list??
I'd think it was pretty worrying that a group of players have been named unofficially as the 'bomb squad' from mid season onwards as they were seen to be unwanted and dispensable. There's a reason for the mid season dip.

| I think that there needs to be some words spoken in the off-season so that we don't see a repeat of this next season because the way the second half of the season has gone is horrendous.

| Anyway... back to Friday
I think that the team more or less picks itself.
I'd go with:
1 - Grix
2 - Lawrence
3 - Cudjoe
4 - Wardle
5 - McGillvray
6 - Brown
7 - Brough
8 - Mason
9 - Robinson
10 - Griffin
11 - Faalongo
12 - Gilmour
13 - Faiumu
14 - Crabtree
15 - Patrick
16 - Ferguson
17 - Horne
I think that Eorl is a lot more effective coming off the bench as it creates more of a reaction from the fans and seems to fire him up more.
We need big performances from 1-17 for this one if we are going through, but I have a slight niggling doubt that we won't see it. Hope I'm wrong though.
More worrying is these rumours that Brown seems to be losing the changing room. Once that starts to happen, you never get it back. I honestly believe that if we do not turn up on Friday, then Nathan will be on the next flight home.

| i dont know the ins and outs but Raleigh defiantly picked up an injury last week.
I quite like him as a player but feel he lacks the mobility to play second row at the highest lavel and lacks the go forward to play prop.
He put in a top defencive effort last week but he was playing as prop and made about 30 metres with the ball all game which is not good enough. It may be in everyones best interests if he moves on.
For me the seventeen that plays on friday is the strongest one available so i have no complaints with selection.

| it was really good when the examiner used to print them every week. Now the only time you get individual match stats is if one of the weekly papers prints it. The most interesting stat from the Warrington game was Brough and Brown made over 50 tackled between them. Is it any surprise our attack was poor when the halves are so overworked in defence.

99% agree with your pick, just that I'd have Ferguson as run on LF to do the early donkey work, and have Fooey off the bench into hooker. We play a different style when the Fooster goes into dh,the ball goes wider of the ruck.
As for Eorl,at the start of the campaign I would have him run on prop every time with the tough way he was carrying the ball, but think his endeavours caught up with him,and interchange is probably now the best option.
The thought that NB might call it a day with us at the end of this campaign has crossed my mind too.'Taken 'em as far as he can' etc etc.

| I was sure this was going to be our year to win something, and but for some bizarre (at least to me) player choices and positional switches still think it could have been. Gutted.

My thoughts exactly Mable. I had my heart set on the Challenge Cup & really believed we would do it this year. Then the wheels well & truly came off. I've said it many times before & been shouted down, but I honestly believe a HUGE contributory factor to us losing the final in '09 was the fact that NB stood the majority of the team down the week before at Saints.

| Think NB may have lost the psychological battle with both players and the opposition. However this could change if we get a good result tomorrow and put plenty of points on the board. However, the remaining four teams for the semi's are all stronger pychologically should we get thru!

41m in fact, which made him 9th out of the 17 players, and worked out at 5.13m per carry, with 33 tackles. only Fuey (35) made more tackles. Some of the other stats are:
Mason 6.27m /carry, 19 tackles
Fuey 2.92m/carry, 35 tackles
Griffin 6.11m/carry, 28 tackles
Faalogo 4.93m/carry, 25 tackles
Larne 4.42m/carry, 16 tackles
Eorl 5.67m/carry, 32 tackles
