As a wakefield fan how would you know that, as you rarely have the ball at the Galpharm apart from when you KO after conceding a try.

I can only asume you are a closet Giants fan and that you come to watch us play in other games where the opponents do have the ball to alllow such announcements be made.

the troll though isnt that far wrong is he..less than 6000 for a team aiming to win things is poor,but with superleague bringing all these expansion teams into the league gates like this will continue to happen, we still have to face quins and celtic yet. too many expansion teams isnt the way to go, a couple is enough

our crowds have improved slowly over the years which for me is better than the massive increases some clubs have had, if the crowd rises slowly year on year the new fans are obviously staying to enjoy the rl that is being played year after year rather than just coming to watch a winning team and as soon as the chips are down they are gone... i.e bulls

To be quite honest yes the crowd wasn't that great but remember 3 or 4 years ago we would have loved a crowd of 6k for a game like this. . Even 6 or 7 years ago this would have been a good crowd against a top side never mind an expansion team. . Which leads me onto my next point. . We are unlucky in that we dont have any rivals in super league to enjoy a big derby game with on good friday. It used to be wakefield when cas were in the 2nd division. . Now we are lumped with one of the expansion teams who rarely bring any support with them and the games only really appeal to the hardcore fans. The sooner fax get back up the better as we will have a local derby on good friday then, most teams usually post their biggest crowds on good friday whereas we usually get our lowest. . I dont think the kick off time or the weather helped either but we are getting there,like i said we are getting double what we would have got 3 or 4 years ago

It was a poor crowd but it is about 200 up on the same fixture last season.

We are on the UP.

I think that if we had won last week it would have ben even better. the other thing ius that the way the fixtures were with lots of other games on Sky there were less floating fans.

About 30% of our season ticket holders do not attend evening games. If that had been a 3 o' clock kick off there would have been another 500 to a 1000 on the gate.

My 3 kids did not go with it being an evening KO. that equates to 3 out of 10 from our family group.

I think that people need to look atthe demographics of our support. I am only making assumptions here on but it is based on comments from the club.

We have lost two generations of RL fans due to us being very poor through the 80s and 90s. a lot of them would have been kids who would be in their late teens, twenties and Thirties. these are the people who do not mind evening Kos and fit it in with a night out on the town.

It often sems to me compared to other teams fans that a lot of our fans are 40+, Women or young kids with their parents. These are the groups who are less likely to go to evening games. I think that this is what really harms us for evening KOs.

In 10 years time hopefully our demographics wil change in a way that resolves this problem. But for now we need SUNDAY afternoon KOs.

I didnt go, I went to the pub instead, cos thats what Fridays are for.

If evening KO's are not good for our fans why didn't we KO in the daytime?

I always assumed because, due to the amount of Methodist chapels in the area, Good Friday has never been a traditional holiday in Huddersfield. Certainly when I used to work for a manufacturing company we always got Monday and Tuesday off and not Good Friday.

Pity your announcer didn't do the same the other week, when we had the ball your announcer would have had to talk for 80 minutes, ping there goes another score

78 fans less than last season and I bet the away end as never been so empty for a Cas game. Somehow I think the home attendance was up from last season. Still it was not good enough. We are a top side now and should be pushing towards that magical 10k average, not settling for similar to last season.
