In the 41 games we have played in SL, FC have won 26.

That in itself tells you our clubs are not that far apart throughout the SL era, so to think it would be an easy two points seems rather silly. Yeah you had an outstanding season last term but its a different season now and teams will be much more wary of the Giants then they were this time last season.

at the moment we shouldn't be beating anyone just because we seem to have a better team on paper,we have to earn the right to win games and we aren't doing that right now.
next game is salford away and we know what happens there every year against a team we perceive we should be beating.

Would you have expected to beat us in our first few years in SL- of course you would!

Think you need to realise that you've had one or two good seasons and that may be it for a while. This has happened to other teams in the past and will again in the future. Expecting to beat sides just because you had an outstanding season last year is setting yourself up for disappointment and accusations of arrogance.

I agree I wouldn't expect us to beat anybody. I would hope if we play really well we could beat anybody but expect to beat them , no way. If you expect to beat someone you will lose and I think that is at least 50% of our problem at this moment. Hard work gets you wins and hard work can't blossom if you expect to win.

If that's the players attitude too its no wonder we're struggling !

It really isn't poop, as I am not a new fan I remember that we came to SL together. At the time I didn't expect us to beat you, I hoped we had targeted it as a realistic winnable game but certainly far from expecting a win.

I've followed FC for far too long to expect them to win, as a poster said earlier it wouldn't surprise me if we are the first club to lose to London. Your club has done nothing for you to go about thinking your club should be winning these games.

News flash we are 8 games in and you've only won two games, on that form what makes you think you should be beating anybody ?

Were you expecting divine intervention or something? Are you unbeatable on a sunday and just cap on Thursday's and Fridays then?

If you had played well for an hour and ran out of steam then your comment about Sunday might hold some water. As it is we had the game seen up after 20 minutes and were happy to just go set for set from then on. You can't blame that on fatigue.

Cant work out whats changed, they also said the league means nothing so again whats changed? Personally I think winning the league is massive and will be dissapointed if we dont repeat the feat (not looking likely I know) but in our idiotic sport we could finish 8th and be Champions. Early Early doors and the players are still in pre-season

If you win your Sunday games how come your not still in the cup??? We are lacking just as much confidence as you..we went into the game even & our team mullered yours. The spine of your team is 1 of the best in the league but our lads stopped them playing..yours either wanted to fight or moan to the ref..not the way to win games..especially on a Thursday.

Listen to yourself. You are talking like a team well seasoned in winning the grand final. All this 'we should be beating teams like hull'.....'cream rises to the top' etc it's all coming across a tad arrogant.

Last season, huddersfield weren't so much told they would taper off, but their playoff pedigree was questioned. By the end of the season they had finished top and failed to make the grand final, so was that not in some way justified?

And if you concede huddersfield failed in the playoffs last season from 1st, what makes you think they will be able to go one better from a lower, potentially harder route?

And if the above is not true, do you not concede that maybe last season huddersfield weren't as good as you claimed and thus they didn't fail in the playoffs they simply played to their potential, which makes this seasons remarks of 'cream rising to the top' a tad foolish?

I don't think you can be 'one season wonders' unless you win a major trophy to begin with, in that one season. If you are going to class the LLS as a major trophy (it isn't, this was done to death last season, but whatever), then why would huddersfield apparently disreguard it this season? Why not go all out to finish top and win it again, back to back, because it is a major prize.......right?

No? If not, then huddersfield had no one season wonder in the first place. They didn't contest either major final (which ironically, the team you 'should' be beating did) and they didn't win a major trophy.

Huddersfield were just outplayed. Hull, on their day at the KC are a formiddable team. I can remember many a time Leeds going to hull over recent seasons and getting a right, good old fashioned shellacking! In those same seasons leeds finished above hull. All these comments about 'should be beating hull' are bang wrong. Hull is one of the toughest places in the league to go when they turn up, and many a recent grand final winning team can attest to that.

I cannot believe the crap OUR posters are putting on this thread.

At the minute with our form, injuries, suspensions and possible furyher action from the RFL we will do well to win one game out of five.

The arrogance shown by our fans seems to mirror the over confidence of the players.

We are a Good team nothing else but the key bit is TEAM.

When one cog is broken the rest of it falls apaart. At the minute most bllody cogs are broken.

1/ POWDERPUFF PROPS.
2/ Half Backs who cannot pass
3/ a desparate coach who is making mistakes.
4/ a lack of SL quality squad players
5/ A captain who has lost his composure
6/ A team who look unfit
7/ A team with no confidence
8/ A team who are playing as individuals because they do not trust the system / players around them.
9/ A team who cannot concentrate and avoid basic mistakes.

All of the above can be solved but not in a week

There are a lot of things that need to come together to make the TEAM work.

I am so glad you all think it will be sorted by friday and we should be looking at 4 or 5 wins in the next five games.

You can guarantee we will have more disciplinary problems, more injuries and more defeats before we get it right.
