The flag fund has gone really well so far and we have ordered the first flag. We are hoping it will be here by Sunday! So we are encouraging anyone who has a flag/banner to come along and put it up! We are just waiting on conformation as to where the area will be but we know it is in the BR so if you sit at the other side I will wait outside at around 2:30 and will put them up! We want to make the area CLARET AND GOLD, but we cant do it without some extra people bringing along there flags/banners too! Please help improve matchdays for everyone! I have got my 12ft by 6ft flag at the ready, I will be down at the stadium earlier than 2:30 so I will put mine up before. Just let me know in advance exactly where in the BR they are going.

We should also try and encourage more vocal support at the back of the Britannia as well as flags.. I think with the stand being compacted this year it could encourage people who sit at the fringes to get more vocal at the back

Well my season ticket is right at back of BR so that's a start!

Yeah I agree, definitely something we should all push! If we could get people to move to the area! It would only take a few more round there and it would really lift the atmosphere.

Well last year I stood with the 'singers' at away games and wanted to move over to BR for home games, but it was a right pain. It would be good if some agreement was made with the club that allowed people to move easily. I had a meting with Ken at the end of last year to try and make that area an official 'singers section' but he said he didn't want to move people. I thought it was a poor excuse and reason but ah well.

Ok, the designated flag area is block 2 in the Britannia Rescue. Its the second block in closest the Fantastic Media. So far we have Eaton and Shrops putting in their flags in there and I've got everything crossed the Ken flag fund one will be ready by then too. It would be great if someone could ask the supporters association if they will move their MASSIVE flag to block 2. I know they usually have it in the corner but it would really make an impact if they could move over with us. Could someone ask/beg them? Also I know I keep mentioning it but if you have a flag of your own please please bring it along! Even if you are in the other stand I am willing to meet you before and after the game to put it up. I don't wanna see C&G go to waste!

I'd you go to the ticket office AMD explain that you want to sit with your mates but ended up in a different area they might change your ST to the other side.. They have done it before and I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem.. Can always ask them and see?

I don't like to brag but the closed off blocks to make the crowd more compacted was the fanzines idea aha! Also Falling in love will be played pregame. Unfortunately its a 2:50, but I think if as many people as possible to stand up scarf aloft and belt it out and then the club might realise that to many of the fans it is the club anthem!

Idea of the fanzine? Pah I suggested it on here years ago lol but well done to the club for acting on it let's hope we can fill out the middle sections

Don't know if that was a joke or not, but I meant there was an article in the fanzine with some ideas, the club got in touch, we discussed the ideas and they used it aha.

Just saying i mentioned it on here years ago as a way of improving the atmosphere but it obviously wasn't taken on board by the club, so well done to the fanzine to finally getting the club to take ideas on board

Well done to Fanzine for Only Fools. HGSA have mentioned it to the club a few times - once it got played but the wrong version!

With regard to the flag, we draped it over seats in the past and it could hardly be seen. It took a lot of negotiating to get it in a position where it is in view of the majority of the ground - and on Sky when they show the big screen. However, we will discuss it at the next committee meeting.

Fingers crossed the new flag is going to be ready.

Seems the club are making a concerted effort to help atmosphere with some of the things they are trying for matchday.
