FRANKLY - whoever is holding a hot potato and from my viewpoint its wait and see as all applicants and some of the posters faves will ALL have varying levels of R.L. knowledge

but how many many times do we hear "This is the man for the job /the man to take us forward / the coach weve been after etc etc etc ...........to be then tyold about his successor " hes the man etc etc again when hes shown the door frankly I get bored hearing it THE PROOF IS TRULY IN THE PUDDING - IF NOT FROM DAY 1 -its gotta be within a couple of seasons or 3 with most professional sport b of directors

no whoever we chose will have to have first class knowledge of the game /and the players on his shopping list (if avaiailable at the right fee /be abler to instill in his squad total confidence in his aims and methods /convey his game plans clearly to his lads and have them follow it/ and finally and most importantly i m o be able to handle 20 - 25 fellas with differing skills / ability/ and most of all temparaments in the way EACH INDIVIDUAL NEEDS to bring out the best in him within a timeframe and budget stipulated by the board !
-and at the same time take all the s--t thrown at him on RL fans when the results dont come or the team dont perform PIECE O CAKE!

SIMPLES - NO WONDER THERES 20 APPLICANTS! :wink

Personally would like to see Paul Rowley down here, had the full respect of the players at Leigh which is a good start. Just the feel for the guy and how he handles himself.

No but we can let the board know how much this guy is despised at our club

Not really. Not enough experience- he's not been retired two years. Thorman has a lot more experience than him.

I might, It would depend on what sort of football we were getting, I would certainly give them a chance though.

If the club appoint McNamara it will be confirmation that they have no interest in being competitive at the top of Superleague ever again.

I cannot believe anybody can think McNamara in any way could be a good decision. He was awful at Bradfoord and even worse for England.

The club has absolutely no ambition. McNamara will be a perfect choice.
