Would be my pick. Fatz and Grix to drop out. The pack will be busy all night and that seems the biggest bench with the most flexibility that we could have . Aspy to dummy half to spell Lunt.

Prefer to have a prop replacing a prop rather than a winger/2nd row.

For tactical reasons to nullify your opponents strength.
Grix was ok but did a lot of running at the Bulls forwards with little success.
Aspy is as strong as an OX and a good tackler. Would tighten things up in midfield and with his speed off the mark and strength would be a good interchange hooker. that would help nullify Berrigan and give the Hull forwards something to think about.

I suspect this was due to the loss of Mason so Grix was told to just hit up and share the load with our 3 props.
With 4 props then Grix can slot into a range of ball playing roles:
Into the halves with Robbo going to 9
Into 13 with Fooey going to 9
Directly into 9 himself
These additional positional rotations give us many more options and share the workoad with Lunt, enabling him to do longer minutes.

I'm hpoing we finally get our own back on your lot and our forwards knock 10 bells out of yours for a change instead of it being the other way around
I also blame you for ruining our season last year when your lot injured 1/2 our squad in a pre season friendly
And you sacked jon sharp and didn't renew thorman's contract ![Twisted Evil icon_twisted.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_twisted.gif)

| Here's a point I find interesting:
Bookies make Hull favourites tonight because they beat Saints yet when you look at the result Saints lost Gardner and Soliola during the game so had 15 fit players. We beat Bradford with losing Mason after 5 minutes and with Ganson playing to the camera.
I hope the confidence in their pack coming from Hull is not unfounded.

| They played well ATEOTD.
We played okay against Bradford and Bradford didn't play as well. Saints played gash. Ultimately though we're one game into the season and you can't tell much at this stage. Hull won their first five last season and ended up not having a great season by any stretch. We lost our first seven a couple of seasons ago and ended up 5th. Better really to wait until 10 games in or so before you can make any real judgements about how things could go.

Hilarious stuff.
Both Hudds and Hull won by playing well. Having seen both games I'm struggling to see how you can claim that Saints were any worse than Bratfud. Try opening your other eye.

| WTF are you on about?
I said you played well, better than we did (who I described as okay). What more do you want? A medal? A biscuit? If you think beating Saints after they played like that, first game of the season, is any real indicator of how this season will go especially after how your season went last time then I think it's you that needs to open the other eye.
Saints were gash. Bradford weren't much better. EOS.

Dude. Saints gameplan went out the window when they lost 2 players. If you think that they wanted to play with Roby on the win and keep Moore on all game?

I agree, Saints were poor, but how much of it was down to us completely shutting them down? It's hard to tell. Yes, the injuries will have made an impact, but they still had plenty of match winners our there. Eastmond for example had absolutely zero impact on the game. I know friendlies aren't the best thing to judge a performance on but we played as well as we did against Saints against Rovers imo. The pack totally dominated and we looked full of ideas when we got near their line, we just lacked that final pass from time to time. I think the Hull fans are getting a little carried away because of what we had to endure last season. It was always going to happen that a couple of wins and everyone would get excited again. Personally, whilst I think we will win tonight, I do have a slight feeling that we might be brought down to earth tonight. Like I said Saints were poor, and tonight I fear we might get shown just how much of it was down to us making them look bad and how much it was them just being bad. On the other hand if we win again with another convincing performance I will start to get very optimistic for the season ahead. Especially as our next 2 after you and Crusaders and Quins.

In that case I misunderstood your post, and I apologise. As for the rest of the season, I have pretty modest expectations TBH. Although the way we played, rather than the result itself, makes me reasonably optimistic of a decent season. Last year we won our first 5 games without ever playing as well as we did last week.
And FWIW I expect tonight to be a tougher test for us that last week was, for a variety of reasons. Hudds will be a top 4 side again this season IMO and could easily finish ahead of Saints.
