Can't see Catalans beating Wigan and on yesterdays showing you have to fancy KR to beat their neighbours, so the winner of Fridays game could well finish up in 5th spot which for your club the way you set off this season is remarkable, should be a great game with a great atmosphere with us just edging it

In all honesty, the rest of the season is a dead rubber now for everyone in the top 8.

Start the preparation for next season now. Get everyone properly fit. Use the next eight games to let the young players experience big matches in a no pressure environment.

It is not how you start the season it is how you end it.

A good end to the season maybe finishing 5th which is the best we could hope for sends out important messages.

Winning breeds winning
A good end to the season makes us more attractive to advertisers and potential players.
It could put an extra five hundred on season ticket sales.
A bit of feel good around the club would be due

Look at current points totals. We would need to win all 7 games left and hope cas implode and don’t pick up more than 5 points from their seven games..

Can't believe your saying that, your the form team playing great rugby if results go your way this week you'll be in 5th spot with 7 games to go, best way to get players fit is to play them with the odd game for the young talent you've got, I bet your new coach has a different agenda to you.

Well, he seems to know what he’s doing, so whatever he does is fine by me.

But I don’t care about 5th. Top 4 is all that counts and we need to make up nine points on Cas/Wire in eight games.

We should aim to finish as high as possible, these things matter

Plus it'll be a real poke in the eye to the people who even at the start of the season said we'd be dead last

I’m not suggesting they don’t try and win, just pointing out that what we now have is a long series of glorified friendlies with absolutely no pressure.

The club can choose what it wants to do with this series of games. And getting players who may need surgery and a long recovery period back to full fitness is a perfectly valid choice. As is playing youngsters against good opposition with no pressure.

I think we continue as we are. Beat wakey- and then look to make us the team the rest dont want to play. Keep playing the nucleus of the squad we have. U19s have a shot at the playoffs so let the likes of the senior twins, wardle, Russell do their bit towards that. They will get their chances as Woolford has already shown.

We have a coach who has galvanised the team and made them into the form team currently second only to Saints. Can't see anything other than us going all out to get as high as possible with every game treated the same. Yes we may see some of the youngsters given a chance within the structure of the senior players and a winning team. That is where both they and the team benefit not by throwing them all in at once and risk upsetting the momentum we have gained or the first team players who have worked their a$$e$ off to get us so far.
If I was one of the upcoming academy players I would be working my socks off to prove myself for next season to ensure a SL future career regardless of which tier of RL I was in. Giants are on the up and we are a genuine appeal to any aspiring player to be a part of.

Agree entirely Code no player should go on the field thinking anything else but winning.

and we have gone most the season with injuries..crippled at the start thats why we were bottom really

could add players that have gone too.. tom symonds (aussie took up a fair chunk of salary cap and a quota spot) and shannon wakeman... adam walne been a waste of cap space too

thats 5 that were supposed to be starters at the beginning of the season but we have got away with it with others stepping up

Clearly our early injury issues went unannounced- 13 out in the first few weeks of the season- do you not think some of those are still struggling and playing with injections etc?


Oh- and what WAS the cause of that 2016 car accident?
