| We are not frightened to sell players Eden and Brown are good examples but according to all the Aussie papers the Roosters only want him if he comes cheap. So why would we let him go and homesick or not he's only got a maximum of 35 games to play until he can go anyway !!!
Also if our seasons a good one and he plays a big part then he could sign a mega wedge contract next year all seems a bit daft to me !!!
Roosters won't want their player playing today and risking injury so I guess we'll get a big clue !!!!

| Who cares?
The guy's always injured, the club has always supported him through his injuries but as soon as an NRL club comes sniffing he's off.
Good riddance I say and we move onwards and up as a club.

Good riddance.

| Whatever has happened I am really disappointed he is going. I want to see world class players at the Giants and LOD is world class. Fielden and LOD bossed the first 20 mins last week, missed him today. Real shame we didn't see more minutes from him over the last few seasons.

Inconsistent. When playing well he is great, but too often has poor games. If Anderson feels he could get the best out of him week in week out then maybe.

| So he slinks off back to Oz - well no point in trying to keep players that don't want to play for the C&G. Thought something was afoot at the end of the Saints game, he came over to the fans at the end, stared around as if he was drinking it all in and was the last to leave the field - Wuzz and I commented at the time 'bet that was his last match for us' - shame but on we go...

| Well at least it gives me a team to dislike in Oz now when I watch the NRL games. He couldn't play today due to a knee injury so he might as well be someone elses problem now. No team can afford to keep an expensive sicknote sitting on the side lines.

| Would like to see a half back but no need to rush. It would allow Robinson to go back to hooker with Lunt and Faiumu as the extra second row to replace O Donnell.
Dobson would not be a bad shout. He is hardly passed his best he is only 26.

i agree....
we wont be the same force without him on the pitch. although he only gives us half a season.
people on about half backs now, what a waste of pre season then for robinson and brough working together.

I agree with this one aswell.
I think Robbo is working well with Broughy, let's give them chance they can only get better the more they play together.
Then if we get some injuries during the season we can then identify an area to strengthen.

yep, think we should just take the money and bide our time, someone or something usually pops up during the season.. then we can make our move.
maybe a superstar full back??!!
we might of moved for hock if this happened in pre season? not sure if he would of been right though but same mould as lod

| I'm happy with Brough and Robinson as our half back pairing, as the season goes on, they will only improve. The problem will come if we start to see injuries, in this respect it might be worth looking at a utility half back that can play hooker or scrum half or possibly an out and out stand-off (though rare as rocking horse....). As injuries to Robinson, Brough or Lunt and we will start to struggle for cover. Faiumu can play well at hooker, though there is not a cat in hells chance of him doing 80 minutes there.
Back on topic though, it's a shame to see Luke O'donnell leaving, but his injuries have cost us and if we can get some compensation for him along with freeing up salary cap and an over-seas quota spot; I say go for it. This now leaves an opportunity for Fairbank to come back into the squad, which I would really like to see as he impressed last season and put in some big hits in the friendly against Widnes.
