Wakefield have decided to increase their admission prices for the 2010 season to:



I refuse to pay £20 to watch any form of rugby in that heap they call a “Super League” stadium! Jesus Christ…..even Dick Turpin wore a mask!

What is there to say, its a ridiculous price and a massive indication that Wakey are in a mess, desperate for any cash they can get and knownig they have no chance of increasing their fan base they must screw the ones they have out of more cash

I suppose the club are gambling that a 10% rise in away fans tickets causes less than 10% drop in away/casual fans attendance.

Still £18 at Cas and I think it's £15 if you pre-book, £16 at the most if it's pre booked. £20 for that dump Wakey play at is nothing short of a joke, they had dwindling crowds last year and I wouldn't be shocked if they're even lower this next coming season.

Interesting statement considering your attendances were down this last season and you attributed it to a lack of away fans because of Sky games.

Interesting statement re attendances' remember the play offs' I seem to remember your club dropping prices by 25% against Wakey prices. We played Catalans on the Saturday night in a double header on Sky. Your team played Catalans on the following Friday and got 200 more spectators than we did, would you care to offer an explanation ? OUCH

That was your cup final, we had the proper one to pay for a month earlier

You have to laugh at this thread. It had dropped off the radar because we couldn't care less and then some bone head goes and stirs it all up and the rest of the pillocks come and put on a show!





The price is too high. Wakey fans acknowledge this. EOS. The sniping about lack of away support is redundant; past tense. Our home average is way in front of Wakey. We lose money but we're not quite bringing the receivers in yet thankfully. So to snipe about how much money we lose is actually a pretty stupid thing to do really. No surprise there!

Not so much that we have to sell players to pay the taxman.

Wakey's promised the taxman that they'll pay. That will be good enough for HMRI. Well, it was for the RL with the promise of a new stadium, so surely the tax guys will also wait forever for payment.

Anyway after the Huddersfield - wakefield love in. Our prices are going up i believe to £20 for on the day sales / turnstiles with their being a £2 discount for advance tickets.
