| They win - they win the hubcap.
I would expect it to be a TV game as it'll be the first time they have won it in how many years=#FF0000*?

| I think its between our game and Wakefield v Wire. Depends if Wakefield remain within at least two points of the top 8 i reckon. If they don't it'll be our game I reckon. If it moves it'll be a 6:45pm kick off Sunday Night.
We've never won "the hubcap" because it didn't exist the two times we topped Super League table previously.

We last topped the league in 2000

We are a bit light at present. We've been winning games and competing against the likes of Leeds without several key players. Brett Hodgson, Andy Raleigh, David Fal'alogo and Keith Mason should all be available for the game.

| Wigan are red hot favourites, but we are starting to find some form...a few top rate players back in contention and we might just perform a major upset...I doubt it though.

Unfortunately we've been allocated the Boston stand which is the touchline stand!! I still can't believe we are taking a regular support of over 3-500 and Wigan feel the need to not open another stand yet do for the likes of Wakefield who incidently only brought short of 600 for their short trip down the road yesterday. We'd open our south stand for our away support so why do clubs like wigan feel the need to embarrass ourselfs further? We know we don't travel well but as I've pointed out the away support coming to our stadium is getting lower and lower every season.
But saying that now it's an evening Kick off and on Sky maybe it will be justified but still the allocation was done prior to it being on Sky!! Also due to it being a potential league winner for Wigan will their re allocate us so they can fit more of their glory chasing fans that will undoubtedly come out of the woodwork for a bit of the championship glory!!

Yes i know about costs, I mean when Castleford came and there were less than 200 we still had to cater for them and steward them and due to the safety certificate had to have full compliment of stewards and it had nothing to do with safety fears.
I'm only saying this because while we see our own away following growing ever so slightly they'll still be people on here saying that we travel poor and it'll be even worse as it's on Sky so the trolls will be worse, as Wigan couldn't be bothered to open the away stand! And I can also see us shoved right into the corner of the East stand due to the importance of the game as it's reserved seating in that stand and Wigan will have folk coming out of the woodwork! It's currently 40% full!

So Wigan should lose money to cater for a handful of Huddersfield supporters out of principle and so that there support looks good on tele?
Don't be daft.
If you don't like the view from the East stand corner then the South stand behind the sticks in unreserved.

| I'm only trying to point out that due to the importance of the game there maybe quite a few home supporters. Also a handful?? What do you call a handful? You maybe right and we may not take that many given the new time but then again you've opened up the North stand for a handful of Wakefield supporters!! You must pay your staff a lot more than ours as we would open the south stand for a 100 supporters. And I know for a fact we are taking at least a hundred as theres at least 3 coaches making the trip over also many of these will not have thought to get their tickets prior to going. Yeah not thousands like others but still impressive for us!! Me and my son are making our first trip to Wigan!

The ticket office will have arranged a section for the Huddersfield supporters in the East Stand, don't worry. If you are not happy with the seats, just wait until the game kicks off and sit in another unoccupied seat. Simple.
We base the predicition of how many away supporters will attend on reputation. To be fair to Wakefield, they have travelled in good numbers before hence the North stand was open this year. Unfortunately they brought less than expected this year and that will be taken into consideration next season.
I'd class a couple of hundred as a handful and tends to be the usual figure that Huddersfield bring every year. Considering the stand hold nearly 5000, a couple of hundred clearly doesn't warrent spending the money to operate the stand and the employees to man it. It would be a complete waste of money. Fustration of not having your own, designated stand and looking bad on TV should be directed towards your own supporters who don't bother to show up rather than Wigan as the club can't be blamed for not wishing to spend money for a pointless operation even if Huddersfield do theirselves.
I hope you enjoy your first trip to Wigan.

| I can see what they are saying tho! Why have we moved them into the Boston when Wakefield, Cas, Salford and maybe even Bratfort bring the same amount and could easily be accomodated in the Boston stand!!

It's nothing personal towards Huddersfield as Castleford, Wakefield, Salford and Bradford have always brought decent numbers to the DW before this year, obviously enough for the club to think it's right to open the stand for each this season. Unfortunately, they've brought poor following this year meaning we've probably lost out financially hence the decision to have a stand open for them next year will be taken into consideration.
FWIW, Huddersfield have traditionally brought less than each of those clubs through out the years.

| as a huddersdfield fan i have no problem with this i agree with ABP there really isnt any point of opening a stand of that size with the ammount we take also its not the worst view from where we are sat. also i like being in the same stand as the home fans good banter with them specially when we see the famous wigan walk but erm yh hopefully we can take an allright ammount but now its on sky i feel that will cripple our away support for this game

It wont be the 1st for many on here, sunday afternoon would be a pleasant change instead of the usual friday night we get lumbered with.

I hope you do bring a better following than usual, but hope the fact Sky are covering the game doesn't affect numbers.

I think numbers might be down with people 'saving' for the playoffs?! We aren't used to having to pay for extra games at the end of the season!!
