You have to rely on the one in the opposite end, confused me at first.

The official time keeper clock is on side opposite the away end. It'd the one you can't read when the sun is on it!

Or rely on someone to read it for you

I was wondering how people were counting down at the end!

The Official timekeeper clocks have been installed at all super league grounds ( Wakey have one but it wasn't used for last week!). It was very difficult to read when the sun was on it from the south stand, and the Leeds fans were asking me how I knew what time was left as they hadn't seen it with being behind the scoreboard. It's very inconspicuoius(sp) where they've put it!
