The problem lies with actually being allowed to collect them from where they're stored on the 2nd floor of the LSV rather than them actually being displayed.

I think they should just go the whole hog and ban the Centurions from playing because lets face it, that's the only way they're going to win.

Can I ask you lot a question....had this game been played at Sedgley our previous ground, would you all have been griping like you are now.!!
This is our home game not Leighs, like it or not, therefore sadly your club dictates nothing.

I for one don't have a problem with any of you waving flags in your designated end but that is where tomorrow your claim on the ground ends.

No doubt if as likely we are there next year no doubt the tit for tat will continue and at your home game we will have to put up with whatever constraints your management decide.

I have read people on here questioning how many we get attending...why does that matter so long as the rent is paid.

even though its not our stadium it is our permanant home,your just here til you get sorted back in swinton, so i think we have a right to be a bit peeved when you start dictating policy to us,especially over such trivial matters as flags and the showing of Leigh rl history.

Apart from Sedgeley not meeting Championship standards so you wouldn't have been able to play there anyway.

I have a lot of time for Swinton and have been to their games at all sorts of venues but to me it just seems they're being obstructive for the sake of it which doesn't really reflect well on them.

End of the day there ain't enough clubs on this side of the hills so we should be working together as much as poss...........go watching each others games etc to get the money into both clubs.
These petty little things are stupid and wont help each others clubs in the long run.......THEY NEED TO GROW UP TBH.

And like has bveen said Marshy, a lot of us have been to watch Swinton at the LSV thus putting money into your club. A bit of gratitude could have been shown. All I have to say is this.

Yeah great song, however remember that it works both ways as I too have attended Leigh games this season.

Know doubt you have, but surly you can see how your club are upsetting us for no apparent reason, i personally have followed Swintons results with interest as you were playing at the LSV this season, i may not have put money into your club, but a lot of my mates who i go to games with have, i think they will as one already has said reconsider going to your games next season because of this nonsense.

Bye the way it's not a personal attack on the fans of Swinton RL, which i think most Leyther respect with what you have all been through in recent times.

That's fair play and i haven't for one minute thought that the Leigh fans are targeting Swinton fans, we won't forget how Leigh have helped us out.!!

But you have to ask the question why are the Swinton management making the stance they are, are the Leigh management squeaky clean in all this and I refer to the previous game. I don't know ...simply asking the question.

Well to be honest i don't know the answer either, but lets hope bridges can be built as i think it's in both our clubs interests to get on, anyway lets hope for a good game of rugby tomorrow Marshy and a good crowd.

this will of course be my first ever visit to the south stand having spent every match since 2007 in the North stand, so I need to know if there is any orange paint on the side of the steps in there , so that I can avoid it and save the legs of one of the Stewards who will doubtless climb up to tell me "can't stand there pal health and safety not my fault "

You did well there peawapp...we didn't move in until 2008 and only played one game at home that year!



Thought the stewards were sound in the South today by the way, can't knock them.

The Stewards did very well indeed seeing as how We were told not to put flags up and also we were constantly reminded that People in seating areas could not stand up ,and both happened with monotonous regularity ,Oh yes they did very well just about up to their usual standard I thought

I'd call it co-operation and common sense, personally!

Was funny when they came to tell us to sit down and the choir started the "stand up" song. All the south stand stood and the fella looked and smiled.

I actually felt sorry for the two stewards who were being ordered by some pedantic clown in his Ivory Tower...... Good response from the South Standers though...

Hope their bosses aren't reading, but the stewards encouraged the "stand up" song!
