That was fantastic. Can't smile wide enough. An all round performance. Scoring 48 was unbelievable and our defence was superb.

Just got back from the game, i have to say im proud to be a leigh fan!!!

absolutely fantastic result! My aunt phoned me from the car on her way back to fill me in and let me know she will bring the dvd when she comes to visit next month!

I think this is a significant result for more than one reason:

1) I think we needed a result like this to prove to the doubters and stayaways that we are back. I would hope/expect that we get an extra 500 on the gate for the next home match (which we will of course lose heavily in true Leigh fashion!). As important, it gives the players that self-belief that is so important. I hope the players enjoy this great result - they certainly deserve it.

2) Although Fax may have had some players absent today (not sure what the final team was) - there's no doubt this was a crushing defeat under any circumstances, especially at home, and compared to last season. I think a change of coach might be coming there soon unless things are sorted out very quickly. To lose by that margin and to concede so many in the second half indicates a lack of effort rather than skill.

3) This results gives us a very good chance of FrankB's prediction for Easter coming true - hope he had a wager on that one!

Fortunately/unfortunately I have been out for the whole day. I puprposely avoided radios/updates and the like and switched on BBC Radio Manchester on the way home at about 5.55. Boy did Robbie put a smile on my face when he went over and the commentator said "thats the eighth Leigh Try, its now 46-10 (obviously before the kick).

We were very poor but up until half time you weren't that much better. 2nd half we were playing some of the worst team play I have ever seen from my club and you just looked quicker and more as a unit. Confidence also plays a part every one of your guys knew we were gone and wanted the ball this led to our tubbing

. Well done though you look a decent side this year and will be up there.

exactly its a very unproffesional sport in this country and if you get a well drilled coach in you've always got a chance. Just look what Karl Harrison did at Batley last year.

Magical result. We won like we did because we stuck to our defensive game plan and closed fax down well. Fax didn't have a plan B and lost all their discipline - we then took advantage.

When you came out I expected you to throw the kitchen sink at us for ten, you couldnt you were that beaten upfront.

Half the team are not giving 100%, many injured players playing! many not trying hard enough. We need an overhaul at our club! Your defence good yes but how many errors from us, Ben Black in particular? gave you a cake walk

We forced the errors. Our willingness in defence with our solid structure forced Fax into decisions and plays they didn't want to make forcing errors.

What a game, loved every minute of it cant stop smiling even though I had an hour and half sleep last night and have just come straight from Fax to a 12 hour night shift!!! Think our pack must be the best in the league, Lee "Beeeeeast" Mitchell and "Unit" were outstanding!! Thought the atmosphere on Fax's side was very poor was expecting a lot more from them in terms of banter, looks like its just the Chemic games that are going to be the best games for fans. Hopefully we can kick on from here take 4points from our next to games, and maybe add a few hundred on home attendances. Roll on Toulouse on Friday- I cant wait!!
